I woke up to the sound of running around that morning. It was too early. I didn't want to get up. But I managed to drag myself out of bed. I remembered what the day was and got a rush of adrenaline. It wasn't enough to wake me up. I needed several cups of coffee to do that."Who the fuck is running around this early?" I yelled as I opened my door."Toga stole something off Dabi's," Shigaraki answered. I followed his voice downstairs. Everyone but Dabi and Toga were sitting in the living room. Normally there was some kind of excitement between everyone. Not today. The looks on everyone's faces read dread. They had all except that there was no way this was going to end well and giving up. It definitely didn't help me. I had had faith in us but apparently, no one else did. It was like they knew something I didn't. I tried to not let it affect me but suddenly all of my confidence disappeared. Last night it was like I was walking on clouds now I had just come crashing back to reality. Had I been foolish? Was it obvious from the start? I wondered if we should just call it off at this point. I looked over at Shigaraki. I saw a hint of determination in his eyes. That meant we would keep going no matter what that meant. I sat down on the couch feeling defeated. We hadn't even gone there yet and it already felt like we lost."I was going to get a gun. But didn't so what do I do now?" I asked, breaking the silence."Some kid who was on our side had a gun," Spinner muttered."Well seeing as they aren't here maybe it's not a good idea," I decided."Toga has a ton of knives. You could probably borrow some," Mr. Compress suggested. "Ok," I replied. I went back up the stairs and tried to find Toga's room. I had no idea where it was but there wasn't that much room so I was sure I would find it. Suddenly, I heard screaming coming from a room. I took off and busted through the door. I saw Dabi tackling Toga on the ground. She had something in her hand. I pulled Dabi off. It was hard because he was livid and trying to get out of my hands as his life depended on it."We don't fucking have time for this," I exclaimed."Let me go," Dabi said, still struggling. I did let him go but stepped in front of him. He saw that I wasn't going to let him attack Toga again and gave up. I walked over to Toga and took the thing out of her hands. It was a picture. I looked at it, wondering why it could be something so important. I recognized the tall man immediately. It was Endeavor. He repulsed me and I almost smashed the picture. I was very aware of all the things he had done. I didn't give a fuck if he was trying to improve. The idea that he was considered a hero and people looked up to him concerned me. A woman was standing next to him. She looked kind and had white hair. I assumed it was his wife. That meant this picture must have been taken before everything happened. She was holding a baby who I also recognized. His hair was half red and half white which meant it was Shoto. It was a bit strange because he didn't have a scar and looked so... happy. There were three other kids. Two who I had seen on TV before. They weren't famous heroes but I also knew they hadn't been abused like Shoto. The sister was looking at Shoto with absolute adoration in her eyes. She resembled her mom in a lot of ways and looked kind as well. I turned to the kid who I didn't recognize at all. I had thought Endeavor only had three kids. He had a full head of red hair unlike any of his siblings. Who was he and why wasn't he around anymore? "Give that back," Dabi spat, ripping the photo from my hands."That's you isn't it," I said."I don't know what you're talking about.""The kid in the red hair.""No that's not me.""It's too late to lie now. You're Endeavours kid.""I'M NOT! NOW STAY OUT OF MY BUSINESS!""Look, I really am sorry for snooping. I just wanted to know why you were freaking out. I've got bigger things to worry about it so if you want me to pretend like I don't know that's fine.""Thanks... for understanding," Dabi mumbled. He sounded very shocked at my response. But I could tell that this was serious. I wasn't going to be inconsiderate and rub it in Dabi's face. Besides I wanted to focus on the mission. "Whatever," scoffed Toga. "Can you guys actually get ready now?" I complained."Yea," Dabi sighed."And Toga I need to borrow some of your knives," I said. Toga's eyes lit up."Sure," she replied. I followed her to her room. I had no idea who's room we had just been in but I could tell it wasn't Dabi's or Toga's. When Toga opened the door to her room I was shocked. It was surprisingly really cute. Who knew where she got all the stuff from. The only concerning thing was she had an entire wall of knives. I was expecting a lot but this was a whole new level."Take whatever you want," Toga said. I couldn't respond. I just stood there in awe. I eventually walked up to the wall and grabbed five different knives. This way I could throw a few and still have some left. I wish I had something personalized for me and my quirk but for now, this was the best I could do. I tucked the knives into my belt and prayed they would stay there. We both went back downstairs together. Now Dabi was sitting with everyone else. The mood hadn't changed at all. It was still impossibly dreary."So..." I said, trying to start up a conversation. We had made a plan but at this point, I wasn't sure if anyone would even follow it. This was a great way to make my appearance as a villa. So I could always be remembered as a failure. "We should head out now. We can pick up something to eat on the way," Shigaraki said."Sounds good," replied Mr. Compress who was the first one off the couch. We all made our way to the van and filed in. Again, there was no conversation. I wondered what it would have been like if I had joined a few years prior. I remember seeing them on the TV. It was very impressive because they were the first people to win against the heroes. And they were the ones who made All Might retire. I just didn't understand why they kept attacking UA. It was still just a high school. We arrived at a small restaurant. I assumed it was the one they were meeting up at. I didn't know why they were making such a big deal out of a high school reunion. It was impressive that they got everyone to come. For us, that wasn't a good thing. We all got out of the car and hid behind the restaurant. It wasn't open yet so the employees would probably be coming soon. The first person wasn't paying attention and was on her phone. I grabbed her arm and pulled her behind the restaurant. "Hey what are you-" Toga stabbed her side and she immediately stopped talking. The color drained from her face. Shigaraki said we weren't trying to kill her but I was starting to doubt that. Blood spread slowly from the cut. It grossed me out so I turned around. I could hear choking sounds coming from the worker. I just tried to ignore it. Eventually, I heard a thud which meant the job was done. I turned back around."Ok so now I just have to drink her blood and get undressed," Toga announced."Wait what? Get undressed? I think you skipped a step," I exclaimed."I can recreate the person's clothes but they overlap over mine. So I get undressed before I transform.""Oh um. That's kind of weird.""Yea it is," Toga agreed. I didn't want anyone seeing her get undressed. One because they were all men who were a lot older than her. I guess the other reason was that I would be jealous. It wasn't like I wanted to see Toga like that either but I certainly didn't want anyone seeing it. I looked dead into Toga's eyes for a second. All of my anger melted away. It was like I was incapable of feeling any other emotion than awe. I couldn't get over how gorgeous she looked just standing there. The sunlight reflecting in her eyes and the breeze gently lifting her hair. Toga was show-stopping and she didn't even try. She broke the eye contact first and bent down over the worker's body."One more thing... in case we both don't make it," I blurted out. I really didn't have anything to say so I didn't know why I said that.
"Yea?" Toga said, standing back up. Then I did it. I leaned in and kissed her. Immediately as our lips met, I knew I wouldn't regret it one bit.
The kiss might actually be a long part of the next chapter. I finally put in some action. Sorry for it taking so long. After this there will be a lot of hero villain action but this is also what starts Toga and y/n's relationship. I've also been feeling awfully single lately so if there sudden angst or something just blame future me. I honestly have no idea what being an a good relationship looks like so if this sucks its not my fault.
