It felt like electric waves were going through my body. All of my senses were suddenly magnified. The smallest touch gave me goosebumps. The hint of sweetness when I brushed against Toga's lips made my heart race. The best part of it was Toga didn't pull away. I had been getting such mixed signals from her and now this just confirmed she felt the same thing. I sat in that thought for a few seconds. I loved someone and they loved me back. Maybe to the average person that was a normal thing but I had never felt like this before. Don't get me wrong all of my previous partners were great people. But there was never that spark. That was why I never dated anyone. It had never been my thing so I didn't mind. I couldn't miss something I never had.
I wrapped my arms around Toga's waist and pulled her even closer. My body was doing all of this on its own. Common sense told me it was a bad idea. We were making out in front of the whole league, in a dark alleyway, next to a bloody body. It was the stupidest thing I had ever heard of and a recipe for disaster. But I couldn't stop myself if I tried. I realized that now. I was deeply and involuntarily in love with Toga. I couldn't stop myself from loving her if I wanted to. I had always thought that being helplessly in love was stupid. How could you love someone to the point where they have more control over you than you do? Whether it was a good thing or a bad thing, Toga had me in the palm of her hand. It was fighting in a way because I didn't know if it came down to it, that I could say no.
Toga ran her hand up my chest and cupped my face with her other. In response, I kissed her even harder. I never wanted this moment to end even though I knew it had to. For the first time in a while, I felt one hundred percent happy. Sure my anxious thoughts were still there in the back of my head. But Toga numbed them so I no longer cared. All that mattered at the moment was Toga and me. We might as well have been the only people in the world.
"You can stop now," Dabi grumbled. I had to force myself to pull away. It took every last bit of restraint I had. And when I did all I could do was stare into Toga's eyes. She smiled the way she always did. The smile that could light up a room. For some reason, I could feel tears coming to my eyes. I smiled back and wiped my eyes. Toga chuckled and pulled me into a deep hugging. I took a deep breath and tried to calm down.
"Did you have a problem?" I asked Dabi.
"You guys can do that all you want in private. But we have stuff to do right now and you know that" Dabi shot back.
"Fine whatever," I sighed.
"So... you guys are gay," Shigaraki said after a few minutes.
"Yea," I replied awkwardly. I wasn't mad or anything because I didn't know what Shigaraki was supposed to say. I had just randomly kissed her and Dabi had been the only one who knew I liked Toga.
"That's cool. But like why didn't you fucking tell us you were a thing," Shigaraki said.
"We weren't until now," I explained.
"I think you're lying," Mr. Compress argued.
"What do you mean?" Toga replied.
"You two were always sneaking out together. And I saw the way you looked at each other."
"There is something called being friends," I said.
"Y'all fruity and shit we get it. Now can we please just move on?" Dabi interrupted.
"We should get you guys a rainbow cake!" Twice exclaimed, "I'm gay too by the way. No, I'm not."
I couldn't help but laugh.
"Yea yea, I get it. We can worry about this later." I sighed. Toga drank some of the workers' blood and got undressed. I made everyone turn around so no one looked. Dabi teased me for it and said I was being a jealous girlfriend. I just told him he was jealous that I had a girlfriend. When Toga was done transforming we just waited for everyone to show up. Toga went into the restaurant so she could pretend to be their waiter when they came. The rest of us went to the roof. I was still high with excitement. Maybe that was a good thing. The kiss had definitely boosted my confidence so maybe I will fight better.
We waited for what felt like forever. They weren't allowing anyone else in the restaurant. Too bad we would be coming in anyway. Eventually, a car pulled up. It was followed shortly by many other cars. People started to get out of the cars. I didn't recognize most of them.
"Can you tell me who everyone is?" I asked.
"I'll just tell you about the ones you have to worry about," Mr. Compress replied, sitting down next to me.
"Deku, the kid with green hair. I would just recommend not messing with him. Then Shoto, and Bakugo The same thing for both of them. Toyokoyami has a powerful quirk and so does Yaomomo. You know what just do your thing and try not to die," Mr. Compress finished.
"That's helpful," I said sarcastically. Heroes typically didn't kill people but accidents happen. So it wasn't unlikely I would die. I watched as all the heroes entered the restaurant. Many newscasting trucks showed up shortly. They weren't allowed inside so they just crowed around outside. Toga was supposed to text us when to come in. After a while, I started to doubt she would. Maybe they had found out. She always acts pretty weirdly so it would be suspicious. I was about to go in there myself when we got the text. I grabbed everyone and teleported us inside the building. Chaos broke out immediately. Mr. Compress trapped several people in marbles. But soon everyone scattered. I felt someone grabbed my arm. I teleported out of their grasp and behind them. I slammed them to the ground. I didn't have time to look at them closely back they had blonde hair and a sparkly outfit. I quickly sliced their heel. I knew there was a large vein there so it would be impossible for them to walk. And it was also bleed horribly. I didn't want to kill them but I had to stop them from fighting in some way. I had no idea what their quirk was so this could have not helped at all. A knife flew by my face and turned around to see Toga. She immediately ran towards one guy. I was filled with jealousy. This was right after we kissed. I decided to move one for now. I took down a few more people, swiftly and easily. Soon I looked around and noticed only about ten people were left. But I could tell that these people were incredibly skilled. I also noticed Mr. Compress and Spinner lying on the ground. In the split second, I had taken to look around someone had got a hit on me. A huge metal boot came in contact with my back. I fell to the ground with a thud. My back must have been broken. I laid there for a second and watched the person approach me. Everything was blurry so I could barely make them out. I could feel my consciousness drifting. But I couldn't just lay there. I managed to teleport into a corner. When I formed again and the other side of the room I screamed out in pain. It was unlike any pain I had ever felt. It was like all of the bones in my back had been rearranged. I watched as Twice fell to the ground. Six people were left on their side and there were four on ours. That was including me.
