A Faithful Attempt

I couldn't just sit there. I had to do something. But my spine was broken badly. I couldn't even move. I decided to just try. I reached down and ripped off a chunk of my pants. I had to bend over a bit to do it which hurt horribly. I sat up as straight as possible. It hurt like a mother fucker. I had to bite my lip to stop from screaming out. I bit down so hard I tasted blood. I kept my back straight and wrapped the piece of fabric around it. It was supposed to be a splint but it was so bad you couldn't even call it that. Since it was keeping my back upright I was pretty much always in excruciating pain. I tried to ignore my pain and get up. It took me about five minutes to just get on my feet. I dug my fingernails into my thigh to try and deal with the pain. Tears came to my eyes. I took a step forward and felt a sharp pain run through my body. I took another step and the same thing happened. Eventually, I just took off running. I got out my knife and jumped on the first person I saw. They had some weird bird mask on. Or at least I thought it was a mask. I began stabbing them frantically. I was psychotic, overcome with pain and the desperateness of my survival instincts. With each cut, they screamed out. I realized shortly that I had the power to kill this person. That power made me feel strange. A part of me wanted to kill them just because I could but the other part knew there was no coming back from that. A strange shadow-like figure appeared. But it was also clearly injured. I had clearly won. So I should just step back. I told myself that but it didn't seem to react. I began to panic but managed to back away. I was going completely insane. My whole body was still screaming out in pain but all I wanted was revenge. All those years of just sitting around and sitting in self-pity were catching up to me. I turned to another person. Blood still dripping from my knife. I was about to attack them when something sticky wrapped around me. I was flung around into a wall. Or at least was supposed to be flung into a wall. I teleported quick enough so I was back around. I saw that the thing that grabbed me was someone's tongue. They hopped down beside me and tried to grab me again. This time I was ready. I was filled with adrenaline and had nothing to lose. I got close to her face before she suddenly burst into flames. I saw Dabi's figure through the blue fire.

"Hey, that was my kill," I spat.

"You were going to kill her? I didn't think you had the guts," Dabi taunted.

"Want me to prove it to you? I'll kill you right here right now."

"I would like to see you try but we don't have time to be fighting right now," Dabi sighed. We both ran off in different directions after that. I was cornered by two different people. One of them was had red hair and the other one had blonde hair.

"Fuck," I muttered under my breath. One of them set off an exploding which I barely avoided. Smoke blocked my vision and I suddenly realized that there was no way for me to win this fight. Before I had the element of surprise but it was clear these two weren't surprised. They also understood each other and were perfectly in sync without saying anything.  A shadow jumped out at me. I dodged them and tried to stab them. But instead, the knife bounced off. Were they invincible or something? I didn't get a chance to think because there was another explosion. This one singed the edges of my pants.

"Fuck, fuck, fucking shit," I repeated.

"I would prefer if you kept the vulgar language to a minimum," one of the people said.

"Shut the fuck up!" I retorted. I saw a figure and took a swing. Apparently, it had just been a piece of debris. Someone kicked me in the stomach. It knocked the wind up of my and I passed out. I was only out for a few seconds but when I opened my eyes both of the people were gone. Most of my adrenaline was gone and I realized how much pain I was in. I didn't know that even if I did make it out of this alive all of my injuries could be healed. I pushed myself up and rested against the wall. The smoke was pretty much cleared and I could see what was happening. Dabi was fighting the two people that had come at me. He wasn't doing much better than me. Shigaraki was fighting the kid with green hair. They were both just avoiding each other but Deku was a lot faster. Finally, I turned to Toga. Or at least I tried to. I looked to where she had been a second ago but she wasn't there anymore. I looked around frantically and saw her frozen in ice. I saw some guy with red and white hair walking toward her. It was obviously Shoto. My body moved on it' own. I teleported behind Shoto and punched the back of his head as hard as I could. I then stepped on him trying to keep him down. But he set his body on fire and I screamed out in pain as my foot caught on fire. I suddenly felt bad for the girl who Dabi set on fire. I swatted out the fire and backed up. Shoto struggled to get up. I took the opportunity to try and get Toga out of the ice. I got out my knife and started chipping away at the ice. But I was too slow. Shoto made a move to try and freeze me in ice too but I teleported out of the way. I ran over to where some chairs were. I touched all of them and made them all fall on top of Shoto. However, he just burned them all away. I didn't know what to do anymore. I looked over to where a counter was. I suddenly got a strange and cruel idea. It was pretty much just mean but it might work. I dashed over the counter, dogging ice and flames. I grabbed a pot of coffee and flung it toward Shoto's head with all my might. He saw the pot and froze. I knew why and felt horrible. In the split second, he froze up the pot hit him smack in the head. Coffee spilled out all over his face. It was cold by now.

"Can you help Toga now?" I yelled at Dabi.

"I'm a little preoccupied," he replied.

"Just do it!" I exclaimed. I grabbed some chairs and ran toward them. The kid with blonde hair sent explosions toward me but I blocked them with the chairs. I tried to take a swing at him with the chairs but barely touched him. He only stumbled back a few steps. My feet were suddenly frozen to the ground. I hadn't expected to knock out Shoto for long but I had hoped to buy a little more time. Apparently, it had been enough time for Toga. I watched as she stabbed Shoto in the back. That was the last thing I saw before I was blown off my feet.
