Chapter 16

The next morning, me and Harry were playing 20 questions to learn more about each other.

"Favourite colour?"

"Umm...blue. Or turquoise" I answered.

"Favourite animal?"

"Turtles...or dinosaurs. Or bears."

"Favourite sport?"

"To watch or to play?" I asked, knowing there was a variety of answers.

".......Both" he said, thinking about it.

"Well, when I was in middle school, and high school, I was on the field hockey, lacrosse, and track team." I told him, remembering all the friends I had made on those teams.

"Wow. How about to watch?" he asked, cocking his head a bit.

"Um...probably football." I said, thinking about it.

"Now, do you mean what you guys call 'soccer', or like American football. With like the helmets and stuff?" he asked, confused on which I was talking about.

"My football Harry, the American kind." I told him, laughing a bit. After that question, we started talking about the differences between America, and England. I explained the way that the spelling of things were different. And the accents. We spent alot of time trying to do each others accents. Harry failed epically.

"Yo dude, like Wuts up. Dude I'm like from like California and like I'm cool dude" Harry said, trying to sound like an American. I laughed historically.

"Well, we do say "like" a lot don't we?" I laughed.

"You say it in almost every sentence!" he exclaimed, trying to prove his point. His gas had straightened, and he looked a bit more serious in almost and instant.

"So, I've been meaning to talk to you about something." Harry said, after we both had calmed down.

"Sure. Go 'head." I said, letting him talk.

"That night....you know....of the fight....umm" he started, getting nervous by the second.

"Go on...." I trailed off, leaving him to finish his thought.

"Well I was thinking about something that one of them said to me. After you had been knocked out." he told me, his dark green eyes staring into mine. "I have been wanting to tell you but I was afraid it would scare you away."

"no...it would never. Go ahead. Tell me" I urged him.

"Well....he said 'if you dare tell Alex about any of this, I swear you'll never get to see the last of Jenna.' that was....that was before he took Annabel. Your sister." he explained, his gaze traveling to the window. My heart jumped into my throat.

"Wait...so...y-you knew that they took her? And you saw who did it?!" I asked, hurt by his words.

"Alex, it wasn't like that. He threatened to hurt Jenna and I couldn't stand telling Ed something like that. That I let his sister get killed becasue of me." he said, but I wouldn't take any of it.

"So, you thought it would solve everything, if you just lied to me?" I said, getting angrier. "Harry, I trusted you. I told you things that nobody else on this planet knows! And you just keep the biggest secret possible from me? I thought I could trust you. Harry, I could've had Annabel. She would be safe with me right now!" I cried, tears starting to form.

"D-did you catch his name?" I asked quieter, hoping that maybe I still had a chance to find her.

"H-he said his name was Mark.......your ex boyfriend."
