Chapter 26

After about 15 minutes of scrambling around and going crazy, we finnally left.

"Can I drive? Pleaseeee???" I begged Harry, my hand on the drivers side of the door.

"Have you ever driven in England before?" he asked me, concerned with my experience.

"Well....no but how much harder could it be than driving in America? It's just the opposite side of the car!" I said, persuading him to let me drive.

"And the road" he protested. "I think you outta let me drive love. Someday, I'll the you how to drive here, and then you can drive my car wherever you like" he said, guiding me to the other side. The car ride was pretty awkward. I was nervous. I haven't seen her in over a year now.

"So...how old is she?" Harry asked, in a low raspy voice. I hesitated for a moment.

"S-she would be 8 by now" I said looking out the window, remembering the last time I saw her.

"Eight...wow. She's growing up eh?" Harry said, keeping his eyes on the road. I nodded, anticipating our arrival at the park.

"Thank you. Really, I dont know how you did it, but you did and...you're just amazing. Thank you." I said, pouring out my feelings.

"It's really nothing. I just knew how much you missed her and how much you wanted to see her, so I did some research, and found where she was staying." he admitted. "I wanted to make you happy"

"You Know that's the sweetest thing someone has ever done for me. Just wanna let you know." I told him after a phase of awkward silence. "Most of my past boyfriends stayed for a couple months, cheated on me, dumped me or just left. No one has ever stayed with me like you have." I finished, his expression changing from sadness, to anger.

"Cheated on you, dumped you, and left you?! What kind of idiotic bastard would ever do that to such a wonderful girl like you?! They deserve a good kick in their arse." he ranted, his grip tightening on the steering wheel.

"Harry, calm down. They're gone now. Either in jail or living in a boxing the street. Trust me, they're all where they should be. It's okay" I said, placing my small hand on top of his larger one. He calmed down, squeezing my hand. He looked at me and smiled.

"We're here" he informed me, making a quick right. I was so excited. But scared at the same time. Has she changed? Harry got out of the car, and quickly ran to my side to help me out of the car.

"Thank you kind sir," I said, doing my best English accent. He laughed at my failed attempt and led me to a small pathway with benches lined up along it. We sat there, and waited. About 10 minutes have passed by, and still no sign of Annabel.

"Alex?" a voice called shortly after. I turned my head to where it was coming from, and there she was. My beautiful little sister. I froze, so stunned to see her so healthy and...alive. I jumped off the bench and ran towards her. She ran towards me and I swung her up into a gigantic hug. Kinda like they do in the movies. We stood there for a moment, her small fragile body embraced in my larger one.

"Annabel, did you find Ale-" someone said from behind us. I turned to see who it was. It was none other than my mother.
