Trigger alert: there will be some sensitive parts in this chapter, you're warned.

~Luke's POV~

"Mia, you've got to be kidding me!" I yelled as I ran downstairs where Mia was, talking to my mum.

"What? What did I do?" She asked alarmed. My mum gave me a questioning face, I suppose she doesn't know about the car Mia bought me.

"What's this?" I said, jiggling the car keys in front of her face.

"...Keys?" She replied, hesitating what she should answer. She knew everything, she knew about the damn keys. Mia, don't act like you don't know.

"Where did you get them?" I insisted, lowering my hand so it was off Mia's face. Cmon, she's resisting too much. Just tell me the truth already.

"Luke, show manners. Mia made a really hard job to get you the car." My mum said, giving Mia an apologizing smile.

"Mum, those things are worth thousands of dollars! I can't even afford half of it!" I demanded. Both, Mia and my mum seemed taken aback by my sudden reaction. I honestly don't know how I should feel; happy that I have a car, angry because Mia wasted her money, mad because my mum is on Mia's side, or confused because I don't know what I'm even doing nor why I'm mad at.

"Luke Hemmings, don't you dare scream to your girlfriend, she did a really hard wor-"

"Mrs. Hemmings, don't scream to your son like that, it's my fault for not explaining myself properly." Mia interrupted mum. Ooh, wrong decision. Mum hates it when she gets interrupted.

"So? What did you do to afford it huh? Did you steal it? Did you do drugs? Oh my God, you're a drug addict like your mum, aren't you?" I yelled at Mia, filling myself with more and more anger. I should have kept taking my pills for mood swings.

"Luke Hemmings! Enough! You are grounded!" Mum yelled.

"What's going on in here?" Calum came in, self conscious of what he was doing.

"Not the time mate." I told him, a little bit pissed off.

"Everything okay?" He asked.

"Fine Calum. Just leave please." I replied. He nodded and got out of the room.

"I'm sorry, I need to be alone. Thank you for everything Mrs. Hemmings." Mia told mum. She had a hurt expression, and you could actually hear the pain in her voice. With that, she ran out of the room and for a couple of seconds after she left, the front door beeped, meaning that somebody opened it. I assumed she went outside to get some air, it was all tensed here.

"Lucas Robert Hemmings. What in heaven is wrong with you? Did you know what just happened? Luke, I know you might have been mad, I don't know why but i understand, but you have no right to yell at your girlfriend like that Luke, what were you thinking of? Did you stop taking your pills for your tremendous mood swings? Those are really important Luke, things like this happen due to lack of your pills.

"Wasn't it enough the bravery it took for Mia to accept that she was the one who caused your anger? It takes guts to do that Luke, even if it doesn't seem so. Son, I understand you were- are perhaps, angry. But you have no right to yell at people like that, insulting them and saying mean things about them in front of their face.

"I want you to apologize Luke, but not just like that, I want you to think over what you did wrong, even if it sounds like a childish punishment. Think of it and when you're done thinking, sincerely apologize to Mia." Mum said and I nodded. I walked straight to my bedroom, not wanting to talk to say anything at all.
