Watch them: laughing, giggling, running, falling,
Whispering, exclaiming, joking, calling,
Wishing, hoping, sharing, wondering,
Dreaming, scheming, helping, blundering.
Closed off from the world in their own snow globe;
Pristine on the outside, but inside it is woed.
For the secrets that they share are not a pleasant kind
Trapped inside a warped vision; they are confined.
When they step in front of a mirror it changes in their eyes
To accommodate them to a much larger size
They examine with disgust, and tell each other of it.
They insist they are completely flawed, and that the other is perfect.
When I watch them and their friendship, I feel like an outsider
Knowing only half the truth, and not understanding much either,
I do believe they help each other to see the light,
I only wish they could see through my eyes: for me they shine so bright.
