The room was dim. Almost no light beside the cool hues of the moon peaking between the clouds. Though, the room wasn't pitch black. Inside of the worn-down, empty shed, there's a kneeling figure in front of a short table. On the table there's three candles -one of which is lit, a few crystals (the most notable being a jagged piece of amethyst,) a closed book, and a cracked, long fang-like tooth.

The lit, red candle stands still, to still. Only to come to life as soon as the hunched figure places an apple in front of the candle.

The flame dances, lighting up the room. Different colors coated the walls as the candle flickered. Teal eyes widened as they shuffled back, watching the make-shift alter come to life.

They had never seen anything like this. Vines crept in from the cracks in the walls, and the faint scent of- honey? Grapes? It was a weird mixture of smells, she couldn't quite place it. Though, the smell is the least of her worries at the moment.

What the fuck is happening?

The candles flame rose and the vines crept closer, yet she wasn't scared.

Her eyes bounced across the scene as the vines encased the alter.

"Come on man! I worked hard to get those things," She mumbled, a pout on her lips.

In response, the vines paused for a moment before throwing the crystals and two candles at her. She fumbled, trying not to drop them before thanking the vines.

The smell of grapes became much stronger than it initially was. The candle progressively slowed as the vines came closer to her, leaving the now empty alter behind. She watched as the vines circled her, forming a circle,

She snorted. A sea-bear circle.

Extending a hand, she slowly reached toward the vines in an attempt to pet them.

"You're weird," The voice of a man spoke behind her.

Gasping, she spun around, dropping her 'totally cool cape', also known as an old Star Wars blanket she found in a thrift shop.

The scent of grapes once again filled her nose as she studied the man. He had short, dark brown hair, scruffy facial hair, a wreath of vines, and a tired expression. Outfit wise, he was currently donned in a chiton, a staff in his hand.

"Are you just going to stare, or do I have to take your other two candles?"

Spluttering, she brought herself to a criss cross position.

"Sorry! I uh- I'm Sage, it's nice to meet you um- other worldly being?"

He snorted, "You practice witchcraft, yet don't recognize when a God stands before you?"

She blinked.

"Honestly, I just assumed I was about to be taken over by a demon so I didn't think much about that." Her brows furrowed. "I was just- you wouldn't happen to be Lord Dionysus, would you?"

"Good, you have a brain,"

"Wha-? Of course I have a brain! Sooo sorry, it's not like this is my first time meeting a god or anything,"

The man huffed, the vines retreating.

"So uh, Lord Dionysus- what do I, a wee little witch, owe this pleasure?"

"You're strangely calm,"

"Oh trust me," She said. "As soon as you're gone I'm gonna flip,"

He rolled his eyes. "Well, Sack-"

"-It's Sage, uh, Sage Henderson,"

"-You're efforts have been recognized or whatever," He picked at his finger nails. "Though, they've been recognized far past the Gods, you're existence has gathered some unwanted attention, so I'll be taking you to Camp to teach you,"

"Unwanted attention?" She muttered. "Wait- Camp? Teaching me... Do you have a soft spot, Lord Dionysus?"

He glared at the girl, but before he could make a snarky comment, a figure appeared beside him.

She was beautiful, Sage wondered what she had to do with Dionysus. The woman has long, curly black hair, green eyes, and soft pale skin. She rest a hand on Dionysus arm before smiling at the girl, giving her a wink.

"Dear, I've told you, I like this girl," She spoke, Dionysus grumbling in response. "Be patient with her, you did nearly flip her world upside down,"

"Yeah, yeah. Just for you,"

The woman turned toward Sage, a hand extended.

"Hello, Sage. I'm Ariadne, it's a pleasure to meet you,"

Sage's eyes widened as she stared at the woman. Not wanting to be seen as impolite, she quickly grabbed her hand she shook it carefully.

"The pleasure is all mine, Lady Ariadne! Could you uh, tell me what's going on? I mean no offense to Lord Dionysus, but I'm very confused and I'm going to blame it on a God eating my alter,"

"Of course sweetheart, why don't you take a seat? This will take a while,"
