Living on the streets isn't the most appealing thing. Actually, it isn't appealing at all. Maybe it feels different if it's something you decide to do, but in Sage's case, she didn't have much of a choice. She's lived on the streets her entire life, well mostly. Her earliest memory was living with a- let me put it like this, not so kind foster family. So what does a traumatized teen do in this scenario? Run.

But, this didn't matter now. The girl had a home, well, a home of sorts. Ariadne had practically stolen the girl. Not like she minded.

It was clear to anyone that the goddess was fond of Sage. That, of course, worried Dionysus, but he wouldn't say anything, it's her life after all.

To say Sage was confused would be an understatement. Ariadne had explained practically everything to her. She explained the world of the Gods and Demi-gods, she spoke of Camp Half-Blood, a supposed safe haven, and much more. In all honesty, Sage was wondering why the goddess was telling her this. It's not like she's a demi-god herself, right?

She decided that's something she'd worry about later.

As of right now, Sage and Ariadne are walking through the woods. Dionysus had left earlier to return to camp, but the girls didn't mind, they were in their own world. Sage was rambling about the things she's taught herself and learned throughout her life, while Ariadne was grumbling about how useless the gods were to leave, in her words, 'such an angelic kid alone in this cruel world.'

That sentence sparked something in her.

"Sage, honey, how old are you?"

She muffled a yawn with her hand, "Hmm? Oh, I'm uh- sixteen I think,"

"You- You think?" Ariadne asked, perplexed.

"Yeah- I mean, I didn't really keep track of it much, but this kid I met once- his name was Magnolia or something? Anyways, he was around my age, so I just assumed-"

Ariadne huffed, rubbing her temples.

"-That I would age when he did, his birthday is January 13th,"

"Sage,"

"Yes, Lady Ariadne?"

"You remember some boys birthday, but not his name or your own birthday?"

"Yes, Lady Ariadne,"

A loud sigh exited Ariadne's mouth.

She placed a hand on Sages head, ruffling her messy black hair as they entered a thicker part of the woods. Reaching into her satchel, she pulled out a silver, vine shaped strip. She eyes the forest around her before she places it on Sage's wrist.

When the metal makes contact with her skin, the vine wraps around her wrist and swirls its way up to her middle finger, and a bit up her bicep. If Ariadne hadn't had such a serious expression, she may have made a joke about it. Sage touched the metal band with her finger carefully as she eyed the goddess.
