You know that saying 'when life gives you lemons, make lemonade'? Now, how am I supposed to make the friggin' lemonade?!
My sisters are friggin' gone, mom can't even function, and Nichole is gone, so who knows what will happen to the Diamond Nation.
I rub my hand on my face in irritation. It was as if life threw some really gigantic lemons at our faces and told us to make lemonade.
"Do we know anything about how they were kidnapped?" Autumn says, trying to get her thoughts in order.
"No, a servant came to get Queen Nichole for a meeting and her majesty wasn't in her room." A small messenger boy from the Diamond Nation explains. He was the one who originally informed us of the Queen's disappearance. The boy is about thirteen, typical black Diamond Nation hair, blue eyes and pale skin. He didn't have that much build, but he was fast and agile.
"Fantastic, just fan-freakin'-tastic." I pinch the bridge of my nose.
"Were there any signs of struggle?" Queen Azalea stands next to Autumn.
The messenger shakes his head, "It was as if she just evaporated into thin air."
"I am assuming it was similar to your sisters' desertion from your house?" Autumn questions me.
"You are correct." I answer trying not to let my anger control my speech.
"That is not all." The messenger continues. "Many others have been disappearing as well. For example, just last week the seamstress in my hometown disappeared and no one knows of her whereabouts."
Queen Azalea mirrors my previous action a pinches the bridge of her nose. "We have a huge problem on our hands."

I pace up and down my small cell. When is she coming to get me?
I look out the window, laced with cold and unforgiving metal bars. I remember how the night looked when I was king. The whole land fell at my knees and I threw it all away. I shrug. Oh well. My cause is a higher one now.
I hear a rustling sound down the hallway toward the exit. I smile. Then I hear a signifying bang as the door bursts open.
I lean against the stone wall behind me. "About time." I say to her.
Her combat boots stomp down the hallway toward my cell. "Told you I could do it." Ivy says. The new body fits her, black as night hair, cold sliver eyes, tan face from working hard, round lips, hourglass figure, prominent jaw that signified power. She stole it from a newly dead girl from the outskirts of my land. Oh, I'm sorry, former land.
"I never doubted you for a second." I push off from the wall and walk toward the bars separating us.
"Did you now?" She says teasingly hold the keys to my cell out in front of her.
"Of course, my love." I reply with a hand on one of the bars.
Her sliver eyes dance in the moon light as she finally unlocks the bars to my cell. "You should really get better security, your majesty." She says teasingly.
"Yes, I really should." We delicately step over the unconscious bodies of the guards who failed at their job. We climb up a forgotten set of stairs to our left to the top of one of the many towers of the castle.
"Where is the girl?" I ask, my voice getting caught up in the howling wind.
"Patience." Ivy replies looking for the plane that is supposed to pick us up.
Suddenly the simple looking, black plane appears in the west, zooming toward us.
"Get ready to jump." Ivy commands just before the plane is five feet in front of us and we jump, barely making it into the three-foot hatch.
"So happy you could make it." Pilot Jazzy, according to her her name tag, says pointing to the slumped figure of Time in the copilot seat next to her.

Autumn and I walk down the twisting hallway of the Ruby Palace toward the guest quarters. Our combat boots click across the polished, cream marble floor as we realize that we haven't been to visit Time since he came into our lives. Of course he should be okay with that since so much has happened since that day. We reach the basic guest room where he is staying and find that he is gone.
"He went to see Serena." The maid that is cleaning his room explains.
We march to the princess's room. There we find a familiar sign: furniture broken, curtains ripped, bed sheets tossed about.
"Am I the only one getting this sense of deja vu?" I ask Autumn.
"I think it is safe to say that the princess and Time are missing too.
What a beautiful lemon.
