(20) Extra: Zayin

Zayin pov

I stride down the twisted hallway to my office. I have no doubt in my mind that Ivy will handle the three islanders.

I open the expensive mahogany door to the room revealing a large window that dominates the opposite wall, and my also mahogany desk that sits in front of it. Lining the walls are bookcases filled with books and statues alike. I have a seat in the black leather desk chair and sift through the papers spread out on my desk. I roll back in my chair and grab a bottle on wine from the mini-fridge on the wall behind my desk. I grab a wine glass from a drawer in my desk and fill the glass with wine. There is a knock on my door.

"Come in." I say.

A guard walks through the door. "Sir, I have a report."

I lean forward and rest my arms on the desk, "Well spit it out then."

He licks his lips in fear, "Two of the elemental islanders escaped."

"What!" I burst out angrily, "Why isn't Ivy telling me this? I knew that girl was a coward!"

"Ivy is dead, sir."

I stop my rant. Well that makes things a little more complicated. "And what of the other elemental?"

"She is also dead, sir. We attempted to revive her, however she was dead for too long."

I stand from my desk and begin pacing, "I want everything you can get on their blood and I want the security footage of their escape."

"Yes sir." The guard exits the room.

I take a deep breath. I have to call Icas and he won't be happy. I shiver at the thought.

I sit in the leather chair again and gaze at the papers on my desk. The top papers are reports of the three islanders.

I gaze at the next profile.

And finally I glance at the last islander.

Sex: Female
Age: 16 and 7 months
Height: 1.70 meters
Weight: 58.96 kilograms
Note: Ice elemental. Approach with caution. Has been known to encase enemies with ice.

I notice an empty slot on the last islander and I fill it in.

Status: Deceased

I sigh and pick up the phone. I have to do it at sometime. I dial the number.

"Hello?" Icas picks up immediately.

"It's Zayin."

"Good. I was hoping to here some good news."

I roll my lips in my mouth, "Well, Ivy disposed of the boy."

"That's good. We don't need him around. Anything else."

"Ivy...is dead."

"Well that's unfortunate. That's going to put us back."

"And two islanders escaped."

"Which ones?"

I wince, "The fire and earth elemental."

"What?" He screams angrily, "I trusted you with one job!"

I cringe at his voice.

"What of the other elemental?" He asks, "I seem to remember there being three of them."

"The last one is dead."

"I see." He pauses in thought. "We will need to move ahead of schedule. Tell the island a war is coming."

Hey guys,

It's Elena again. I got the next chapter in before school started. How was Zayin's point of view?

Things are about to get super crazy, in the book and our real lives. I apologize in advance if it takes a while to get updates in.
