I followed Emma and her friends to the beach. Okay, they forced me to come with them. I got in the boat and put on my life-jacket. The full moon lit up the sky. Emma started the motorboat and drove out. I had an uneasy feeling in my body.
"What's the matter Pearl?" asked Daisy. "I don't like this, can't we drove back home?" I asked. "You've seen too many sharks movies." she said and her friends laughed.
Suddenly something swam past our boat. "Did you see it?" I asked. "Saw what?" asked Emma. "Something swam past our boat." I said scared. "Wake up Pearl, there's nothing here." replied Emma annoyed. A lighting cut the sky and the thunder roared. A wave overturned our boat and we ended up in the water. I couldn't see Emma or Daisy.

I couldn't fight more, my body was weak of fatigue and cold. A wave washed over me and I hit my head in a rock. I fell down to the bottom and didn't even notice someone pulled me up to the surface. The last thing I saw before I passed out was a man with green hair.

"Pearl, please." said Adam. I opened my eyes and coughed up water. "Dad." I replied weakly. "Oh Pearl." he said and hugged me. "I'm sorry dad." I replied. "It's okay sweetie, I'm glad you're okay." he said. "A man saved me, he had green hair." I replied. "It's been a long night, you need to sleep." said dad and picked me up in his arms. "I think he was a merman." I replied. "Sleep now Pearl." said Adam. I closed my eyes and fell asleep. Dad carried me to the house.
