The Akala Grand Trial

Ash walked into the main parts of the city and Lillie followed. "Hey Lillie, mind if you hand me the map?" Ash asked, now confused as to where he was going. Lillie handed the map to him, and he looked up the Akala island Kahuna's place before handing it back. He then walked toward the path, but noticed a forest in their way. "Lillie, stay close to me. We have already had two encounters with legendaries going wild and going on a rampage. We know better than to slack off on safety now." Ash said as they entered the forest. As they kept walking, Ash heard a rustle. Lillie instinctively took cover behind him, half scared to death due to paranoia. However, some angry voices were heard as a riolu came out of the bushes all of a sudden. "Rii!" The riolu cried out, visibly scared of Ash. He then saw what was behind the riolu. A Pokémon poacher. "He he... You ain't getting away with this, buddy!" Ash said as he looked toward the poacher. "Hey there! Looking for something?" Ash said as the poacher looked in Ash's direction and stood in shock. Bit he then calmed down, seeing Ash's Pikachu. He instantly took out a rhyperior, knowing that he could beat Ash with a typing advantage. But boy was he so wrong.....
"Hey boy! Give me your Pikachu and no one gets hurt!" The Poacher said, looking at Ash with an evil glare. Ash muttered something about 'bad people having bad timing to challenge the wrong person to mess with' and got Pikachu off his shoulders. "Pikachu, will you please take the pain of sending this guy packing? I really want to continue my journey " Ash said with a completely bored expression. Pikachu used electro tail but nothing happened. "Oh, nothing happened?" Ash asked, with a fake surprised tone. "Of course you kid! Rock types are not damaged by electric types! Now hand me your Pikachu!" He said, as he lunged forward to grab Pikachu. Ash dodged his arms as Pikachu jumped onto Ash's head. "Oh my god mommy look he hit me! Pikachu use iron tail on this idiot!" Ash said, imitating a sob. Pikachu used iron tail as the poacher was still not subdued. "Stop wasting my time. Pikachu, use iron tail, as hard as possible on rhyperior" Ash said, still completely uninterested in the battle. Pikachu used iron tail, making rhyperior faint. "And so.. There you have it. Now how about we turn you into a living rocket?" Ash said as Pikachu understood what he meant. Pikachu used thunderbolt band sent him flying. "Rii! Riolu!" A cry came from behind Ash as the Riolu the Poacher was chasing came to him. "Hey there Riolu, you okay buddy?" Ash asked as he got down on one knee and petted the Riolu on its head. "Riolu!( I am fine, thanks to you!)" The Riolu said as it then noticed Ash's Pokewatch. "Rii!(catch me!)" The Riolu said. "Oh, you wanna come with me?" Ash asked as the Riolu nodded. "OK, then... Here we go! " Ash said as he pressed the catch button on his Pokewatch. The watch vibrated three times before dinging. Riolu then let himself out. "Rii!(don't like it in there! I want  to ride like Pikachu!)" Riolu said as he jumped onto Ash's free shoulder. "Well then, I won't mind two shoulder weights" Ash said as they walked away. "Hey Ash, congrats on catching a Riolu!" Lillie said, referring to riolu, who was contently sitting on Ash's shoulder. "Yeah thanks, Lillie" Ash said as they headed toward the kahuna's place.  As they finally arrived, the Kahuna greeted them. "Hello there, I am Kahuna Olivia, Kahuna of the Akala Island. You are here for an Island challenge battle I suppose?" The Kahuna said as Ash nodded. "What about you, young lady? I believe you've come for the island trial too?" She asked. "No, I'm just tagging along with him. We are friends at school so we know each other pretty well. " Lillie said, explaining the situation to the Kahuna. She nodded and led Lillie to the stands. She then retuned, walking onto the battlefield. "Riolu, cone out and watch this battle, k?" Ash said as he put Riolu down with Lillie. Ash then went to the battlefield. The referee then walked up to the field. "This is a battle between challenger Ash Ketchum from pallet town and Kahuna Olivia from Akala Island! Each trainer can use three Pokemon and each Pokemon needs to be substituted after one battle! Battle begin! The referee said as Olivia released her Steelix. Ash went ahead and brought out his Greninja. " Steelix, rock tomb!" Olivia started the match as Steelix formed rocks and controlled them to move straight toward Greninja. "Greninja, double team!" Ash commanded, as the  double team copies were hit by the rock tomb, while others got out safely. But the real Greninja was undamaged. A blur then appeared above Steelix, revealing Greninja. "Water Shuriken!" Ash commanded as Greninja used the water shuriken. Steelix was badly damaged. "Way to go, Buddy! now use Aerial ace!" Greninja's foot glowed white, as he slammed it into Steelix's head. Steelix finally couldn't take it anymore, and dropped to the ground. "Steelix is unable to battle! Greninja wins!" The referee announced. Ash then returned Greninja and brought out Sceptile. Olivia returned Steelix, and brought out Lycanroc. "Battle begin!" The referee said as the battle continued. "Sceptile, start out strong! Dragon pulse!" Ash shouted as the Dragon Pulse barreled toward Lycanroc. " Lycanroc, rock throw!" Olivia commanded, and it negated the dragon pulse. "Leaf blade!" Ash commanded, as Sceptile sprung forward, with his hands crossed and holding two green blade like structures.  "Lycanroc, Earthquake!" Olivia commanded as the battlefield shook due to the attack. "Sceptile, Jump in the air, Now!" Ash said to prevent Sceptile form taking damage from the earthquake. However, Sceptile made the jump a little too late and was thrown off balance by the shaking. "Lycanroc, Rock tomb!" Olivia shouted, as Lycanroc controlled his rock tomb to surround Sceptile. "Sceptile, Dragon pulse on your surroundings!" Ash said as Sceptile followed and cleared the rocks. "Now use Dragon Claw!" Ash said as Sceptile jumped toward Lycanroc, his hand glowing green due to the energy emitted. "Lycanroc, use Iron head!" Olivia said as Lycanroc's head turned a glowing white, And smashed into Sceptile. Sceptile, On the other hand, dug his attack straight into Lycanroc's chest. A huge amount of smoke was created, and when it cleared, it left behind two knocked out Pokemon, namely Sceptile and Lycanroc. They both returned their Pokemon, and brought out their final ones. " Pikachu, You're up next!" Ash said, as Pikachu  jumped off his shoulder. " Steelix, Here we go!" Olivia said, as she brought out her second Steelix. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Ash ommanded, but just as the law of typing advantages goes, electric type attacks do not have much effect on rock and ground types. "Steelix, Iron tail!" Olivia said as Steelix's tail turned silver, and barreled right toward Pikachu. "Pikachu, Dodge and give him your own Iron tail!" Ash said, trying to inflict maximum damage before revealing his power. Pikachu dodged and his Iron tail hit home. Steelix was hurt. "Steelix, Show them our bond and power! Witness, The bonds of evolution!  Mega evolve!" Olivia said as she tapped on the keystone, and Mega evolved her Steelix. "Pikachu, our turn!" Ash says, shocking Olivia, since she thought that Ash could mega evolve Pikachu. "Ash, Don't you need a fully evolved Pokemon to mega evolve? and besides, the Pichu evolutionary line cannot mega evolve!" Olivia said, not believing Ash's words. "Stronger and Stronger... Together!!" Ash yelled, ignoring Olivia's words. Pikachu was surrounded by a vortex of electricity, and Ash again felt the addictive feeling that he felt before. The feeling of electricity coursing through his blood. The feeling that he could take on every task, no matter how hard it is. The feeling of excitement. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt, Full Power!" Ash said as Pikachu unleashed his thunderbolt. "Steelix, Rock tomb!" Olivia said. The thunderbolt, however, broke straight through the rocks and hit steelix, damaging him. "Steelix, rock throw, now!" She said as the rocks flew toward Pikachu again, and hit him. Ash grunted in pain. "You flinch, you die" Olivia said, smirking. "Steelix, iron tail until he can't take it anymore!" She said, now applying a completely brutal strategy to counter Pikachu's power. Ash kept on grunting in pain as Steelix's hits came in one after the other. However, All of a sudden, Pikachu held Steelix's tail in his hands. Ash Raised himself up to reveal his eyes glowing completely yellow, his hands crackling with electricity. His body was now sharing his life force with Pikachu and vice versa. Random charges of electricity sparkled around him, generating a menacing aura around him. Riolu, who was in the stands, was now amazed, since the aura Ash and Pikachu were emitting were full of power. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" Ash shouted, as Pikachu let out a cry in his now hoarse voice. He released the thunderbolt, which generated extra sparks as it was fired. The thunderbolt hit Steelix, and he was knocked out in an instant. Olivia was shocked. Lillie wore a scared look, since she had never seen this side of Ash before. Riolu was amazed at the power.  Ash then returned back into his normal state, looking exhausted. " Steelix is unable to battle! Pikachu is the winner!" The referee said, with a Shocked tone. Lillie congratulated him on the win, and so did Olivia. "Challenger Ash, I hereby grant you access to the rockium Z. Please use it well." She said as she handed him the Rockium Z.  "Thanks, Olivia" Ash said, as he picked up Riolu and placed him on his free shoulder. "Alright, then, Kahuna Olivia, I shall take you leave" Ash said, adjusting his hat and walking away.

Ash has now completed two of the four grand trials! which grand trial will he go to next? or will the rampage of another legendry interrupt his journey again? read on to find out as the journey continues!
