The Ula'Ula Grand Trial

Ash woke up extremely early in the morning, ready to head into his third grand trial. This time, He'd be getting the Darkium-Z. He was definitely going to go for it. He got up, and petted Pikachu a bit to wake him up. Pikachu woke up, sleepily opening his eyes, which were still excited from the plan made the previous night. He gave out a small "Pika" As he got up, and they headed over to the battlefield, after Ash changed into his clothes. This time, he was wearing his Kalos outfit, consisting of a black T-shirt, a Blue jacket with a white stripe running down the middle, a pair of black trousers, red sneakers, black gloves with finger-holes and red tips surrounding the finger-holes, and a Cap with the poke ball insignia on it. They went out into the field, and began their training. Pikachu put on a display of his power with multiple electro-tails, thunderbolts, quick attacks, and more. They finally stopped training and came back in for a break. Lillie was waiting for him in the room. "Hey there, Lillie. We're going to have my third grand trial today!" Ash said, as Lillie also got up and they headed toward the Kahuna's place. "So.... which Pokemon are you using?" Lillie asked, as they walked along. "Riolu definitely needs some battle experience, Pikachu will be there of course, and at the end, I guess I'll just use Greninja. So yup, Pikachu, Riolu and Greninja are coming along. " Ash said, excitedly. They continued walking along, until the finally reached Kahuna Nanu's Place. "Hey there, kid... Back for a battle I believe? " He asked as Ash nodded. The two took their stances at the battlefield, as Lillie walked up the steps to the spectator's stands, Vulpix in her arms. "Vuul!" Vulpix squeaked out, as Lillie was holding on to her too tightly because of her stress." Ash had already lost three times in a row. Another loss is simply going to break him...." Lillie thought. However, her thoughts were interrupted by the referee's shouts. "This will be a 3 on 3 battle between Ash Ketchum from Pallet town and Kahuna Nanu from Ula'Ula Island! Trainers, please bring out your Pokemon!" The referee said, as Ash and the Kahuna prepared to bring out their Pokemon. "Riolu, I choose you!" Ash said, as Riolu got off his shoulder, doing a back-flip, ready to battle. "In that case, Persian, come out for battle!" The Kahuna said. Ash looked on as an Alolan Persian appeared in front of him. "Battle begin!" The referee gave out his call and began the battle. "Persian, Power gem!" Nanu said as Persian began charging up a reddish beam in his gem. "Riolu, Vacuum wave!" Ash said, as the two attacks collided, but the vacuum wave was instantly overpowered. "Of course that was going to happen!" Ash said, thinking of his next order. "Riolu, double team!" Ash said as multiple copies of Riolu began to form. The power gem hit home on a Riolu, only to be simply stopped as the Riolu double team copy disappeared. "Ok, Riolu, now force palm!"  Ash said, as The Riolu copies began heading toward Persian, their palm glowing white. "Persian, scratch to defend!" The kahuna said, as Persian began slashing away at the double team copies. "Riolu, Attack from top!" Ash commanded. The Kahuna smirked. "Persian, Jump and backflip while using scratch to eliminate them!" Persian jumped into the Air, and began his backflip. However, this was exactly what Ash had wanted. "Riolu, now attack from bottom! he is defenseless from there!" Ash said, as the Riolu copies now began to come up from the bottom.  "Persian, Power gem again!" The Kahuna said, in an effort to prevent his Persian from taking damage. However, the Power gem completely missed the group, and Multiple force-palms landed on Persian. Persian looked extremely injured, making Ash seemingly look a bit more cocky. "Alright, Riolu, end this with a vacuum wave! " Ash said, as Riolu fired the transparent ripple. Persian, however, didn't take damage and still survived easily. "How?!" Ash said, seemingly surprised as to Persian's ability to take the hit and still survive. " Persian, quick attack!" Nanu said as Persian ran ahead at top speed. " Take it." Ash said. The quick attack hit home, and Riolu was shot backward. Ash gave a satisfied smirk when he saw Riolu get up. "Riolu , Aura sphere!" Ash said, as Riolu fired an aura sphere toward Persian, who couldn't fire an attack to counter it in time. "The aura sphere hit home, shooting Persian further back. Finally, the dust cleared, revealing Persian to be standing with a lot of scratches. "Persian, quick attack into night slash!" Nanu said Persian ran up to Riolu and slashed at him with his purple claws. Riolu fell to the ground after the barrage of attacks, and then stood back up, revealing a lot of scratches. Ash wore a satisfied look and returned Riolu. "Greninja, I choose you!" Ash said, as he revealed Greninja. "Battle begin!" The referee said. " Knock him out with a water shuriken!" Ash said, As Greninja launched an extremely powerful water shuriken that whizzed toward Persian. Even before Nanu could give an order, The shuriken hit home. The dust settled, revealing a conked out Persian. "Persian, return. Sableye, come out." Nanu said, as a Sableye appeared. " Ok, Sableye, now Mega evolve!" Nanu said, as Sableye Mega evolved. He now held a large red gem, With his eyes now glowing red, a menacing grin plastered on his face. " Our turn!" Ash said, leaving Nanu confused. "STRONGER AND STRONGER! HERE WE GO!" Ash said, as Greninja began his transformation into Ash-Greninja. Finally, the transformation was complete, and Greninja was ready for battle. "Greninja, Water Shuriken!" Ash said, starting out the battle. " Sableye, dark pulse!" The Kahuna said, as Sableye fired a dark pulse, trying to counter Greninja's water Shuriken. But, The dark pulse was overpowered instantly, as the Shuriken of water hit Sableye in the face. " Power gem!" The Kahuna said, as Sableye then fired a red beam. "Greninja, use your shuriken to block!" Ash said, As Greninja took off his shuriken and held it in front of him. The Power gem hit the Shuriken, but Greninja was only slightly pushed back. As soon as the Power gem attack finished, Greninja threw the shuriken, which hit home again. And so, whith that, Mega-Sableye's game was over. "Alright, then, Now here comes my final Pokemon! Krookodile, come on out!" Nanu said, as his first Pokemon, Krookodile, came out. "Greninja, come back. Riolu, I choose you!" Ash said, switching out Greninja for Riolu. " Now mega evolve!" Nanu said, touching his Mega stone and mega-evolving his Krookodile. "Sand tomb!" The Kahuna said. Riolu, double team!" Ash said, barely being able to protect Riolu from damage. "Hm.... That's powerful, but I think this will work." Ash said. "Krookodile, mud slap!!" The Kahuna said. "Riolu, get behind him and use reversal!" Ash said, as Riolu landed a powerful reversal onto Krookodile, who cried out in pain. "Krookodile! can you still battle?" Nanu asked, as the smoke cleared as Krookodile was revealed to be standing, with a small amount of damage. "Force palm, let's go!" Ash said, as Riolu ran toward Krookodile. "Krookodile, mud slap!" Nanu said, as Knrookodile put his mud slap right against Riolu's force palm. Riolu was struggling to hold on, but could feel his hand being pushed back. However, his sheer determination told him to stay on, and fight until the very end. Suddenly, Riolu began to feel change starting to occur inside him, and he began growing a bright blue. He became larger in size, A spike appeared out of his chest. Finally, the light stopped glowing, as Riolu was revealed to have transformed into a strong Lucario. Lucario, Aura sphere!" Ash said, as soon as His transformation was complete. Lucario fired off a powerful aura sphere, that landed on Krookodile, and knocked him out. "Krookodile is unable to battle! Lucario is the winner! Which means that the battle goes to Ash!" The referee said. Lillie came down the stands and congratulated Ash, but this time, with a hug. "Alright, young man. This if proof of the fact that you have beat the Ula'Ula grand trial. Have a safe journey!" Kahuna Nanu said, As he handed Ash the Darkium-Z. "Thank you, Kahuna Nanu. This was one of the most intense grand trials that I have had, so thank you for the battle. I hope we meet again." Ash said, shaking hands with Kahuna Nanu. Lillie and Ash then headed off into the distance, now heading for the final island.
