Charizard's glory

*Continuing from last chapter and still Ash POV*

I woke up in a bit, expecting to be in a hospital. But no, I was still on the ground. Behind me was a yellowish layer, which could mean only one thing. I looked back at Pikachu, who had his hands raised, signifying the use of protect. " Congratulations, Pikachu, you just learnt protect!" I exclaimed as he let go of the protect. I landed on the ground with a light thud, but other than that I was fine. I got up and dusted myself, but  Pikachu collapsed all of a sudden and fainted. "That protect must have been there for quite a while.." I said, looking at Pikachu's tired expression. I then looked back at the school. Two towers had crumbled due to the earthquake attack of Zekrom. The roof of the tower on top of which we had battled had fallen in. "That's going to take a while to fix......" I said as I walked in through the ginormous hole in the wall that Zekrom had created. I then called out Charizard, as commanding him to fly up with me so that we could evacuate the students in the top floor. I reached the top floor and opened the door to the class, and the first person the greet me was Lillie herself. " Ash, you worried me sick! Don't you ever do that to me again! Lillie said as we hugged. All of our other friends came up to us, speechless. Sophocles was the first one to speak. " How did you manage to defeat Zekrom, anyway?" He asked. " Pikachu and I have something called the bond phenomenon. This form has another, much more powerful form, that can even rival Zekrom's bolt strike. However, that was probably because of the fierce determination to defeat Zekrom. You see, this bond is strengthened when both trainer and Pokemon's brain wavelengths begin to overlap, with both feeling the same emotion, and even doing the same movements together.  Due to the overlapping of the brain waves that signify determination, Pikachu was able to generate equal amount of electricity to rival the bolt strike. Now, let's get out of here before this building collapses" I said, as we got out of the room. I let out all my flying types and other Pokemon that could carry humans, and they all carried the students to the ground. we then began to move into the mainland of Mele-Mele island, wanting to return to each of our respective areas of stay. Lillie and I went toward the ferry, while the others headed home. However, right at the point where we were about to part, a flamethrower came out of nowhere and knocked out Mallow's Steenee. "What was that!?" Mallow asked, while surprised. Steenee looked to be hurt. I saw that Greninja was also tired out from my previous battle against Zekrom. Thus, without hesitation, I turned on my Pokewatch, selected Charizard's name, and released him. "Charizard, we have threats in the sky. We need to knock them out!" Saying this, I climbed onto Charizard's back, and we took off. As we went up, we were surprised at what we saw. a huge amount of Pigeot, Noivern, and other Pokemon were carrying their trainers, as they commanded their Pokemon to rain attacks all over the city. "Charizard, flame charge!" I said, as Charizard and myself were engulfed by flames, but Charizard's flames didn't hurt me. Her used flame charge to increase his speed stats. A few trainers heard my call, and decided to start their attack. " Charizard, flamethrower, now!" I said, as his flamethrower made contact with a Noivern, making trainer and Pokemon fall out of the sky. " Charizard, dragon dance!" I said, as Charizard started performing the dragon dance moves, helping him to increase his speed further. I was now holding on to him for dear life, and would have probably been knocked off, had it not been for my fierce air combat sustainability. A Pigeot and two more Noivern began to head toward us, and so, I decided to unleash the cavalry. "Noivern, Pigeot, Unfezant and Talonflame, I choose you!" I said, as four of my fiercest aerial battlers came out. " Noivern, keep using boomburst to attack, Pigeot, use steel wing and slash them. Talonflame, use flame charge and Kamikaze into the Pokemon. As for you unfezant, use hyper beam!" I gave my orders, as my Pokemon went off to Attack. With two long range hitters, two kamikazes and one completely trainer-controlled Pokemon, This battle should be on my side. I watched on as Pigeot slashed the belly of one Pokemon, making it flip over and then getting into an irrecoverable dive. Another Pokemon was confused by Noivern's boomburst, as he began attacking other Pokemon. Unfezant's powerful hyper-beams lit up the sky periodically, as the silhouettes of more Pokemon falling out of the sky were seen. Finally, most of the fleet was wiped, with only the leader remaining. I called back all of my Pokemon, setting out with Charizard for a heavy aerial battle. The leader, who had silver, spiked hair, wore a mask with the team skull insignia, and had a jacket and khaki pants. He was riding on an Unfezant. " Charizard, flamethrower, let's go!" I said, as Charizard unleashed a flamethrower. The leader, who was previously riding the wind current, now dove to avoid the attack, Charizard hot on his heels. He pulled up all of a sudden, which Charizard was able to follow, but he would have probably fallen had he not been trained in high g-force aerial combat. "Flat scissors!" I said, as Charizard began to initiate the flat scissors maneuver.  He moved to the right, but instinctively, the man on the left mover left, rather than following suit. I tried to look for a window of opportunity, but there was none. After a while, he saw the frustrated look on my face, not being able do win with the flat scissors. both of us didn't leave any holes for out opponent to exploit. We knew that at this point, whoever fell is bound to die. " Give it up, boy. You're the target of team skull anyway.." He said, smirking. "All those legendries. It was due to us that they were mad. The reason? I ain't no fool to tell ya." He said, as we continued the flat scissor maneuver. Charizard got a little tired and slack off the speed by just a little, and the grunt noticed and took the opportunity. " Unfezant, Hyper beam!" He said, as The beam of energy travelled toward Charizard. " Charizard, roll over 180 degrees and Dive!" I said, as Charizard instantly followed my orders and dove. The hyper beam missed,  as myself and Charizard did another stressful maneuver, as we dove. However, as we were about to rise, we came right in the attack range of Unfezant. " Hyper beam, Loser!" The man said, mockingly as Unfezant launched a Hyper beam. Charizard was going far too fast to be able to dodge. Charizard also noticed and tried to go even faster. We both knew, however that this was the end, closed our eyes, and tried remembering all the moments that we shared together, when all of a sudden, I felt as if the fury, or no, fire was flowing through my blood. I opened my eyes, finding myself flying trough the air, not riding Charizard. There was no second vision of myself. Just Fire flowing through my veins A I felt sheer determination to win creep into me. I shot off at full speed as I let out a....Roar? I mover right past the hyper beam at an insane speed, and shot off above Unfezant. I tried turning my head, which felt extremely big and heavy, and I turned back to see nothing other than unfezant in the distance, an orange back, and a tail. I then realized that I hardn't just activated the bond phenomenon with Charizard.........

I HAD BECOME CHARIZARD.

I inwardly chuckles as I looped around at a speed too fast for the Unfezant to counter-maneuver, letting out a flamethrower. The Flamethrower almost grazed the tail of Unfezant, but missed. Unfezant Flew right to the side, and I followed. I released a second flamethrower, which it responded to by rolling ninety degrees over to the other side, and using sky attack. " This guy's bad, that's for sure, but I've never had such an aerial battle ever before!" I thought, as I rotated to the left, Getting involved in a flat scissors maneuver again. However, this time, The Unfezant was far outclassed in speed by Charizard, and I knew that we would be taking the win. I was about to fire a flamethrower, but at that exact point, He turned the flat scissors battle into a rolling scissors one. I immediately switched to the rolling scissors battle, as we barrel rolled and weaved around each other. Due to my speed, I Overshot Unfezant, but that was exactly when a stroke of pure genius came into my mind. I lifted my wings and made them point vertically to act like airbrakes. As soon as I slowed down, I flapped them hard, causing me to shoot back into a tight loop. Unfezant came right in front of me, and I let the flamethrower do its thing. Unfezant fell out of the sky, but I finally decided that it was best that I saved them. I Swooped down, and caught Unfezant and his rider in my claws, headed toward the ground, and dropped them. I then cut off our bond phenomenon, As I appeared again, on the back of Charizard, I got off, and then walked up to the man. "You should have let me die there! Why are you coming to kill me now, brat!" He said, as I instead got down to his level and Shook his hand. "Once defeated, you are no longer my enemy. I have found that you are an extremely well-groomed aerial battle. That was by fat the most challenging aerial battle I ever had. Thank you For the battle. Now, I see that you have some skills, so why don't you use them to do some good? I suggest that you do this, Go to the military base under a disguise, and apply for the air force. You will better suit yourself there." I said, As I helped him up and offered his Unfezant an Oran berry, which it gladly took. "Now, promise me that you will give up the life of crime, and Instead Serve thecountry. You have a lot of potential, and you'd better not let it go waste. Farewell, fellow Aerial Ace" I said, as I patted him on the shoulder. We then rode our respective Pokemon and left.
