The information Levi's scouts overheard in the Stohess District had been true. There were indeed MPs posted at every major road leading out of the city. It was no doubt an effort to find and capture any Scout who may be in hiding but it made their trek all the much harder.

Reiss's estate was just a mile from the Stohess District but there was only one road that connected it to the city, and that road was crawling with Military Police. The Scouts had even spotted a few soldiers from the Garrison mixed in with the bunch.

If it had not been for the MPs and Levi's stubbornness, it shouldn't have taken them but less than an hour to the estate.

Yet, here his squad was, questioning another clueless MP in the dead of night for useless information. The road the scouts had taken was not littered with blood and the bodies of Military Police.

(Y/n) covered her ears and tried to drown out the sloppy gasps of their new hostage. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Jean wince every time the man cried out when Levi's boot came in contact with the side of his stomach.

"I can't believe you and your brats took out the rest of my guard," the MP spat out, blood and saliva foaming at his busted lips. "If you leave me here now, I won't tell a soul that I've seen you."

Levi took a fistful of the old MP's hair and yanked his head forward. "Hey..." his tired voice drew out. "You don't get to call my kids brats."

Jean flinched again and to his left, Sasha gagged at the two bloody teeth that flew beside her boot.

The hostage wretched in his lap, unable to move due to the rope binding his arms behind him. For a second, Levi's face twisted in disgust. He hadn't meant for it to be taken this far, especially not in front of (y/n) and his squad.

Mikasa however, was perfectly composed. With her hand rested calmly on her ODM blade, she kneeled and said, "Just tell us if you know anything about Lord Reiss' plans for Eren Yeager."

"And Historia..." Connie added willfully.

"And Historia," Mikasa repeated.

The MP slowly shook his head in a dazed fashion and burped up more chunky bile. He shook his head again, this time a bit more frantically. "I don't... I have no idea."

"Are they at Reiss' estate or another location?" Levi questioned.

Again, the man shook his head.

"Answer the question!"

The MP tilted his head up and screamed, "Dammit, I don't know!" His cries echoed in the night and (y/n) swore quietly.

"You're going to make him go crazy," she warned Levi, rolling her eyes. Skeptical could not begin to describe how she felt about his methods.

Levi turned around and fixed her with an irritated stare. His brow twitched in an annoyed fashion but he knew that she was right. He thought her to be lucky that the only thing stopping him from yelling at her was the pacifying memory of how she looked sleeping beside him. Not only that, he knew this was something he had to learn to be okay with. She had never been the type to not speak her mind and he was foolish to think that just because he had told her to wait that she would stop now.

Sighing, he nodded as if to tell her he understood what she was trying to get across. From what Hanji had said the night before, they didn't have much time to get to Historia and Eren, and yelling at this noncompliant man was obviously not speeding up the process.
