The next morning, I woke up with my daughter beside me on the bed.
"Goodmorning mommy," she greeted, still half-asleep
I smiled and rubbed my eyes. "Good morning my princess."
She slowly got up from bed. She's in her pink princess pajamas. Her hair was a bit messy and so I fixed it.
"Did you have fun on your birthday party yesterday?" I asked and removed the blanket from my body
She looked at me and nodded. "Yes. I played with the other kids. But I was so happy when daddy came!" she happily said
I gave her a small smile and fixed her bangs. "I'm glad that you had fun."
"When can I see daddy again?"
I was taken aback by her question. I then heard our stomach grumble. She looked shocked. She then held her stomach. I chuckled.
"Let's get some breakfast first princess," I said and rose from the bed
Nauna na siyang bumaba sa kama. Sabay na kaming lumabas ng kwarto at dumiretso sa kusina. I made us pancakes, bacon and eggs. I saw her seating at the table of our mini dining area patiently waiting for me to finish. My phone vibrated inside my pocket. I took it out and saw a message from Ross.
Ross:
Goodmorning Victoria :) Did you sleep well?
I smiled and texted him back
Ako:
Goodmorning! I did sleep well but I still feel tired. Are you at work?
Ross:
Yeah. Tomorrow's the last day of filming. I'm excited for the film to come out!
I chuckled
Ako:
I'm sure you'll look good in it. Can't wait to see it too.
"Mommy. The pancakes are burning," I heard Aurora said
My lips parted. I looked at the pancakes on the pan. I immediately turned off the stove and put the pancakes on a plate. "Oops. Sorry."
After I saved the pancakes, I went to Aurora and placed the pancakes in front of the table. Good thing I only burnt one. I'll just eat that.
'Who are you texting mommy?" she asked
I looked at my phone again and Ross didn't reply anymore. I guess he's still busy with work.
"Oh, it's just your Tito Ross," I replied. Ilang sandali ay nagsimula na rin kaming kumain
"Do you like him mommy?"
Nagulat ako sa tanong niya. I almost choked so I drank first a glass of water before I answered her.
"He's a good friend of mine princess," I smiled
"How about daddy?" she blinked twice
Umiwas ako ng tingin. "Daddy and I are..." I paused, not knowing what to say.
"I just notice that you look happy with Tito Ross and you look sad when you're with daddy," malungkot niyang sabi. "Did you and daddy fight?"
I swallowed hard while staring at her. "Paano mo naman nasabi anak?"
"You were crying when you talked to daddy a few days ago. I don't know why you cried. Did he hurt you?" her voice turned soft
Umiwas ako ng tingin. "Uhm...we didn't fight. Daddy and I are okay. He's just really busy nowadays," I lied
