"fine." aeri walks back into her room, grabbing a white hoodie that she quickly slips on over her shirt and pants she had changed into. She walks out of her room to put shoes on, to meet haechan who was also putting his shoes on by the door.
"what's there to even explain"
"a lot"
aeri rolls her eyes and looks to the side. a bang of guilt was shot at her as she stared at the floor guiltily.
why am I acting like this? it doesn't matter if ara is right because I am only his roommate.. right?
aeri looks up to haechan just as she put her white sneakers on and she notices his nervous yet stressed facial expression, it was far from his happy expression.
"ease up buttercup, I don't bite" Aeri said with a low laugh, making haechan crack a smile. He looked up to her then to the door as he gripped the keys in his hand.
"I guess you aren't too mad at me" He says as he turns back to her, pulling the door open as he did so.
" I never was.. " aeri mutters quietly, she was honestly confused on what she was feeling but she hated it.
The two walk side by side along the college gardens, just like the night before but during the day this time.
"Ara and I were child hood friends" haechan started, he sighs and looks down. His hands rest in the pockets of his hoodie he wore.
"when year six ended, we went to different high schools.. we stayed in contact for the first two years, but some where during year eight we lost contact" haechan said as he looks up and into aeri's eyes. Aeri soon met his burning gaze, he sucked in a heavy breath when she did before continuing his words.
"some where during year eight when we still had contact she told me she had a crush on me. I only saw as a friend so I rejected her, nicely of course.. I didn't want to lose our friendship."
He tore his eyes away from Aeri as looked at his feet as they walked.
"but then she started acting different and then we lost contact.. either she got a new number or blocked me. I also lost her number when I got a new phone.."
Aeri sits down on a bench while still listening to him explaining. Feeling even more guilty for how she acted towards him earlier.
"I had a bad feeling that's why I wanted to know what she says. I wasn't comfortable to sit there so I just wanted to hear."
"ohh so that's why you wanted to know.."
"yeah.. I also texted her. She is such a.... crazy.. person?"
aeri laughs but tries to hide it behind her very serious expression. Haechan almost wheezed when he saw how hard she was trying to not laugh. The two collect themselves before Aeri turns her body towards him.
"can I read the messages? I'm curious" Aeri said as she made eye contact with Haechan. He nodded his head before pulling his phone out of his hoodie.
"yeah sure, I don't really remember what I said nor what she said I just remember being angry.. It happened like ten minutes ago yet I don't remember much.." haechan stifles his laugh and unlocks his phone, handing it to aeri.
"I'll stay quiet while you read" Aeri nods and looks at the messages.
She mainly reads ara's responses quickly before speaking. "she sounds like... a crazy person. wait let me read this properly" haechan nods and weakly smiles, wondering how he even put up with her.
okay so his parents nag him to get into a relationship.. ara wants him.. he doesn't want her he wants someone he truely likes.. he is testing this with me- ME? DOES HE LIKE ME?? And more ara being rude. what. Does he like me? whjdidhsidbdjdbsihxissk

Aeri looks away from the screen and back at haechan, her face heating up as she stared at him shocked. He looks back at her and gives her a questioning look, raising an eyebrow.
"you are blushing?"
"what? o-oh uh.. no... I'm just mad" haechan laughs and cocks his eyebrow at her.
"mhmmm sureee" He hums as he grabs his phone back and looks through the messages himself. Aeri looks - stares at him, watching as his facial expressions change immediately.
His eyes widened and a blush slowly creeps onto his cheeks. "you-" He pauses to collect his own thoughts before looking back up to Aeri who was still blushing.
"you read all of it..?" haechan asked, feeling embarrassment hit him like a truck. Aeri nods and looks away from haechan.
"ahh that's embarrassing.." haechan mumbles while he buries his face into his hand.
"it's okay.."
"is it?" Haechan said as he titled his head up out of his hands to see Aeri looking into her lap.
"mhm... but I'm not sure how I feel about you though.."
"understandable" he pauses his words before continuing.
"but there is a possibility for both of us and I'll take that." He says with a bright smile and stands up from the bench. He puts his hand out gesturing aeri to take his hand.
"Come on, let's go somewhere" haechan said with a gentle smile while he thought of fun places they could go together.
"like where? we better not be doing something that could risk us getting in trouble like last night."
haechan laughs and shakes his head. aeri cracks a smile and takes his hand into her's, their hands wrapping around one another's as he pulls her up.
"let's back to the dorm, get our things and go on an adventure!!"
