,,I can explain-" Ricky stuttered. He looked at Gina's mom, who looked at him with a worried expression on her face, then back at Gina. She walked up to him and surprised him with a hug, which he reciprocated as soon as he realized what was happening.

,,Thank you, Ricky."

,,Anytime."

She let go and went to hug her mom as well. ,,Are you mad at me?" her mom asked and Gina shook her head, making her sigh in relief.

,,I'll leave you two alone now, gotta find my seat." she let go and left them.

,,That was very sweet of you." Gina turned her attention back to Ricky.

,,I told you, I-" he wanted to say but he saw EJ coming towards them.

,,You...?" Gina was curious to hear what he has to say, but Ricky didn't want to talk with EJ in their presence.

,,Hey guys, are you ready? We're going on stage in 15." he smiled at them both, mostly at Gina.

,,Better double-check my makeup." Ricky said in a cold tone, leaving.

,,What's up with him?" EJ asked.

,,Maybe he's nervous." Gina guessed. She wanted to know what's going on in Ricky's head.

The show was fine, nobody had the chance to screw up anything yet. It was Gina's turn to go on stage in a moment. She was pacing in the room going through her notes. Ricky peeked in.

,,I know you don't need it, but good luck out there." he gave her a thumbs up before heading out again. He almost crashed into EJ who didn't care because he apparently had his focus on something, or rather someone, else.

,,You're going to do great, babe." he walked to Gina and hugged her. Her eyes widened at the mention of "babe". Since when is she his babe?

,,Wait, sorry. Just realized. That slipped out." he chuckled.

,,It's fine. I should go now, can't show up late." she said and he nodded. It was time for her scene.

She went backstage, EJ right behind her. Miss Jenn waved at her, telling her to go on stage right as they have arrived. She walked up on stage without looking back.

EJ made his way to the right side of stage to watch her perform. Ricky made his way to the left. They were both captivated by her, neither of them blinking. Gina walked up to the front and then ran to the back of the stage. This made the guys notice each other.

And in that moment EJ has realized Ricky doesn't see Gina only as a friend. With just one look at EJ Ricky understood that EJ is no longer afraid to take action. They have fell for the same person again. Neither of them would give up, neither would let go. Not unless they had to.

Gina stopped dancing and noticed the two of them staring at each other with furrowed eyebrows. She could already tell this was bad news. It was time for her to get backstage and prepare for the next scene. She ran back, grabbed her things and was ready to return to the theater, but the guys ambushed her.

,,You're doing amazing, Gi!" Ricky said with excitement.

,,You killed it out there!" EJ bumped into him as hard as he could without hurtinf him. Ricky almost fell over but quickly recovered.

,,See you after your next act?" he asked with a smile. Gina looked at them both with confusion in her eyes and left without saying anything. This was not the time to get distracted, definitely not by boys. Even though they threw her off a little, she was better than this - she was a trained actress after all.

She had a dialogue with Carlos and then a solo part. She couldn't help but look for her mother whenever she had the chance. She found her sitting in the crowd, smiling at her. She could swear she saw tears in her eyes. Gina quickly turned her head to prevent herself from crying.

It was almost time for the final act, which meant Ashlyn's big scene. And Ricky's too, of course. Unfortunately, given the past circumstances, they didn't have a special way for Ricky to transform. All that they could do now is hope that Ricky doesn't destroy half the set again after throwing his mask and that the judge will understand their dilemma.

As she watched them go on stage, she noticed a familiar figure that she hasn't seen in a long time in the far back. She squinted at it. It was her brother. He saw she was looking at him and waved at her. She pointed to him to meet her in the hallway.

,,Jamie? What are you doing here?" she asked as soon as she saw him enter the hallway.

,,Gigi! Long time no see." he said. Gina raised her eyebrow.

,,My mom told me you were going to perform tonight, I didn't want to miss it."

,,Right. I don't even remember the last time you showed up."

,,I'm sorry. Work is keeping me busy, I'd be here otherwise."

,,It's okay."

,,Is that your boyfriend?" Jamie asked and pointed to EJ who just walked out of the auditorium entrance and waved at her.

,,No. He's not." she waved back.

,,I should go back, we're doing the curtain call soon."

,,Yeah, of course. Uhm. I feel horrible for saying this, but I actually gotta leave in a few. You know how it is, I gotta be at LA tomorrow so I got a late flight-" he paused. ,,I'm sorry, I know you're used to me leaving all the time-" Gina hugged him.

,,I'm just glad to see your face." she whispered.

,,Alright, I have to go. Text me when you land, okay?" she smiled. He nodded and she ran back to prepare herself for the finish. EJ took this opportunity to talk to Jamie.

,,Hi, you're Gina's brother, right?"

,,I am."

,,Okay, so, I know you barely know me, and I know this is weird, but would you mind if I asked Gina to be my girlfriend?"

,,Actually, I would mind." Jamie said, making EJ sweat a little.

,,Nevermind then." he was just about to leave, when Jamie continued: ,,I might be against it but it's her word that truly matters to me. And it should matter to you as well."

,,Of course-"

,,You look like a tough guy. Ask her and see what she wants." Jamie said and went back just in time to see the crew take their bows.
