Korra x Asami 🧤

Korra raced to Asami's place as fast as she could. She had finished her training early and wanted to go surprise Asami, since she had some free time.

She knocked on the door of the Sato mansion, and didn't hear a response. She waited by the door for a few moments, then knocked again. Once again, no answer.

Korra stepped backwards to look up to the top floor widow, where she knew Asami's bedroom was.
The lights were on, so she assumed Asami was home. She wondered why she didn't come to open the door, and decided to try and find out what was going on.

She looked around at the empty street, and when she was sure no one was around she used her airbending to quickly climb up the wall, grabbing on to window seals on her way up and jumping about 3 times her height between each floor with no trouble at all.

She knew that Asami would be okay with her coming to the window and peeping through it, but she doubted the people on the street would ignore someone seemingly breaking in to the Sato mansion. She didn't want to attract any attention, which is why she was glad the street was empty.

Korra reached Asami's window, and stabilized herself against the frame. She peered inside, and saw that the thin curtain was closed almost all the way.

From what she could make out through it, Asami was working on something at her desk. She giggled as she thought of how Asami must have been too caught up in her work to notice the knocks on the door.

Korra knocked on the window, and Asami jumped in surprise and shot her head towards the window.

She walked over there, somewhat confused, but when she saw Korra she smiled and gladly opened the window. As soon as she did, Korra understood why Asami couldn't hear the door. She was blasting music on the highest volume and Korra almost fell down from the sudden loudness that assaulted her ears.

Korra managed to get inside through the window and Asami turned off the radio.

"Wow, that was so loud you didn't even hear me knocking" Korra said, fishing a stray leaf from her hair, which was probably there as a result of climbing the building.

"It's great to see you too, Korra" Asami smiled. She turned back to the avatar and gave her a quick peck on her lips.

"What are you doing here so early? I thought you were supposed to work all day"

"Well I finished early and came here to surprise you, are you busy? It looked like I was interrupting something." Korra blushed a little and looked over Asami's shoulder to see what she was working on.

There was an equalist electric glove on the table, Asami seemed to be working on something within the mechanism of it.

"Oh.. actually, you're just in time to see the result." Asami smiled. She walked back to her desk, and closed the lid of the glove, tightening it up with a screw.

Korra stood behind her and watched. She caught a whiff of Asami's perfume and drew closer to her, hugging her lovingly from behind and burying her head in the crook of the engineer's neck so she could still see her hands working on the glove.

"Oh hey there, my love" Asami turned her head and gave Korra a kiss on the cheek.

Korra's smile grew large and she squeezed Asami tighter.

"I missed you today.." Korra said. "I worked really hard to finish early cause I remembered this was your day off. I was thinking maybe we could do something together".

"Oh baby that's so sweet of you, I'd love to spend some time with you, we haven't gotten the chance to do that lately." Asami finished tightening the screw and turned in Korra's arms so she could face her.
