After spending the entirety of the day here, the two decided to grab some drinks from a cafe nearby before parting ways.

"Thank you for accompanying me," said Taehyun with a grateful smile.

"Don't mention it," Beomgyu replied much more casually, having to allow himself to relax and not think about the past while he was with the younger just now. "I'm going to head home now, bye!" Beomgyu waved, about to turn away―

"Wait!"

He turned around.

"All day―no, earlier today, you seemed a little uncomfortable around me―did I do something wrong?" Taehyun asked.

Beomgyu felt his body stiffen; did he make it too obvious? "Well, you just remind me of someone," he replied, feigning a smile. "Someone very dear to me."

"Oh...," the younger mumbled, feeling slightly flustered before pushing that feeling away. "Are they still alive or―"

"He passed away some time ago, but I still think about him from time to time," Beomgyu spoke, smiling, lost in his memory of his late brother.

"I'm so sorry for your loss," Taehyun breathed.

"No, it's alright―"

"But I just hope you'll know that we're two different people," Taehyun continued, cutting the latter off his sentence. "Two different people, with two different memories. So whenever you're with me, I hope you won't relive in the remnants of your memories with him. Instead, make new ones with me."

Beomgyu couldn't help but ogle at the young adult standing in front of him. So much more juvenile, yet so much wiser, speaking words beyond the maturity of a 19-year-old boy, leaving Beomgyu mystified, wondering who was the older and younger one for a moment.

A familiar sense of deja vu came crashing on him. His younger brother had always been so much more competent than him whenever it came to life lessons. How he, the older one, would always run to him, seeking advice.

Beomgyu's cheeks coloured with shame, realising that he had just done the opposite of what Taehyun wanted him to.

"Thank you, Taehyun," he managed a grin, "for everything."

"What do you mean, 'something bad?'" Yeonjun repeated in disbelief, casting a disdainful glare towards the lady while he was at it.

"It's all in vague young man," the tarot card reading lady replied, having that calm gleam plastered on her face that really got onto his nerves. "How many times have you sat safely within the narrow confines of your life, comfortable in your current thoughts, beliefs and expectations? Well, pulling The Tower only means that a force will come in between you two, destroying your picture of peace and harmony. It blows your mind and throws you into a loop. This is what The Tower symbolises."

Silence took over space between them before Yeonjun quickly let out a scoff.

"But do not fret, to have your future fully put together, you―" she pointed a finger to Yeonjun "―must draw the final card."

Soobin quickly read the annoyance expressed on Yeonjun's face, clearly caused by wasting their money on some stupid so-called "future reading", which only seemed to have mentioned nothing but bad luck. He placed an arm on his shoulder.

"Let's go―Ha Eun must be waiting for us," he said calmly, bowing down to the lady before escorting Yeonjun out of the tent.

Once they were out of an earshot, the lady slumped back slightly, taking off her glasses. "What a shame," she mumbled, drawing the final card Yeonjun was supposed to from the deck.

Her eyes grew as big as marbles, clearly surprised by the last and final card she had drawn.

"How interesting...," she said to herself, studying all four cards:

The Two of Cups

The Four of Wands

The Tower

And...

Queen of Swords.

Afternoon light soon began to fell into a series of warm colours blending in the sky as the trio decided to call it a day after spending the entirety of their day at their amusement park (Yeonjun managed to convince Ha Eun to leave by bribing her with ice cream―to which the younger gladly accepted).

So here they were now: walking down the sunlit streets towards a nearby ice cream vendor.

"Two cones of vanilla ice cream and one strawberry cone, please," said Yeonjun to the vendor lady.

"Got it," she replied, humming to herself as she scooped up the ice cream, passing them to the two.

"Thanks," Soobin smiled as he passed her the money. "Have a good day!"

"You too! By the way, your child looks adorable," she gushed, smiling at Ha Eun, who seemed to have not understood what the lady had meant.

Yeonjun and Soobin blinked at each other. "But―we're not―"

"Thank you," Yeonjun interrupted, giving the ice cream vendor lady a wave as they sat on a bench across the street.

"Did she really think we're married?" Soobin laughed.
"Do I look that old?" Yeonjun said at the same time.

They looked at each other for a brief moment, thrown off by their ―very different― interpretations before continuing to turn their attention to ice cream.

"Is something wrong?" Ha Eun, who sat in between the both of them, asked.

"Nope, nothing," Yeonjun quickly replied. "Did you enjoy today?"

"Yup, I did. But why did the lady just now asked if I was your child?" She inquired.

"I have no idea," Yeonjun sighed, pretending to look baffled by her brazen assumption, but Soobin could easily sense the slight amusement on his face.

Just like a mini Taehyun, Soobin smiled to himself, wondering if questioning about everything and anything as well as their sparked curiosity ran in the family. "Yeonjun, about earlier this afternoon―"

"I never believed in tarot card readings anyway," he reassured. "Besides, nothing will ever come between us," Yeonjun continued to say, reaching for Soobin's hand as he interlocked fingers.

Soobin beamed back. "Oh, by the way, I've been meaning to ask―" he said, turning to Yeonjun.

"Hm?"

"―would you like to come over to my place tomorrow for dinner? You know, to meet my brother."

Yeonjun paused for a few moments. "Sure," he replied.

"6 pm tomorrow at my place then?"

"Works with me," Yeonjun smiled as he got up. "It's getting late. Shall we head home now?" He asked Ha Eun.

"Okay! Bye-bye, Soobinnie!" She beamed, giving the latter a wave as he watched the two slowly walk further into the distance, Yeonjun clasping Ha Eun's hand, seeing how fitting his boyfriend looks as he smiled while talking to the child.

"Yeonjun!" Soobin called out as the latter turned around. "I think you'd make a great parent," he smiled.

Yeonjun blushed with pride as he exchanged a smile, feeling oddly contempt after hearing those words before they bid their goodbyes.
