Weak morning sun frayed through the windows as the mildly cold breeze woke Soobin up. He turned over to see Yeonjun staring right back at him as his heart gave a nervous lurch―he didn't expect the latter to be already awake.

"When did you wake up?" He asked.

"Some time ago," Yeonjun replied softly with a smile as he pulled Soobin in. "It's cold," he said, feeling the warmth from the latter's body.

"Feeling better after last night?"

Yeonjun hummed in response as he played with Soobin's hair, clearly not wanting to get up just yet as they stayed as they were for a few moments, the sound of the rain gently pitter-pattering behind them.

"Do you have anything particular in mind you'd like to do today?" Soobin asked, laying his head on his boyfriend's extended arm.

"Hmmm. Maybe after visiting Taehyun at the hospital, we can go out somewhere for dinner?" Yeonjun suggested.

"Sure," Soobin beamed as he got up slowly to prepare for their day ahead.

Arriving at the hospital in the afternoon, Soobin went up to Taehyun's along with Ha Eun and Hueningkai while Yeonjun headed towards one of the cafes downstairs where Beomgyu asked for them to meet.

He spotted his cousin seated by one of the tables near the windows as Yeonjun walked towards him. Passing an iced latte, Beomgyu gestured for him to take a seat. "Thank you," he said, accepting the drink as he took a sip. "Did you find anything?"

"I did, though it wasn't much," Beomgyu replied tersely. "Apparently, 'Red Society' is a secluded organisation. Their members being of high-ranking officials and influential people in the wine-making industry. I couldn't find much about who or how many people are in it, but from what I can tell, I doubt there's many of them, less than a dozen, I assume. From what I got, this organisation has been going on for quite some time now, constantly hunting down for humans, especially those with The Blood of Rebirth."

"Wait, so does that mean―"

"They were the ones behind the kidnappings in Suwon," Beomgyu finished, leaving Yeonjun lost for words.

"But I've always thought my mother was the ones behind them―some, at least," he mumbled in disbelief.

"Other wealthy vampires fund these types of organisations. Your mother might be one of them," Beomgyu explained.

Silence ticked by with the windows reflecting the grey clouds hovering over the sky outside. Yeonjun said nothing for a few moments, his mind still trying to comprehend everything. So Hee Suk is part of all this? What about his mother? Was his mother aware of this society all along?

Perhaps his mother was even a part of it at some point.

"So, these people are now after Soobin?" He said, feeling his voice come back to him.

"Yes. Any other information about this whole group seems to be disclosed to the public, and this was all I could find," Beomgyu yawned.

Yeonjun looked up only to now notice the faint dark circles hanging from the latter's eyes. He must've stayed up all night looking for all this, he thought to himself, suddenly feeling guilty. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked you to do all this―"

"Don't mention it. Yours and Soobin's lives are just as important to me," he said as Yeonjun saw the genuineness in his eyes while saying that.

"Thanks, Beomgyu."

"If you want to thank me, then do me a favour and ask your mother about this. She probably knows much more than I can ever find."

Flummoxed, Yeonjun was caught off-guard by the latter's sudden and straightforward request. For all he knew, Beomgyu had always taken his side when it came to running away from home, given that he knew the neglect and ignorance his mother had shown towards him while growing up. But to now see Beomgyu persuade him to patch things up with his mother made him feel a bit odd.

Perhaps the world is ending, after all, he thought.

"I will. For real this time."

And so Yeonjun found himself in Taehyun's room, an hour later with that message to his mother still unsent. Soobin, Beomgyu, Hueningkai and Ha Eun went downstairs for tea while Yeonjun stayed behind with Taehyun in his room.

Part of the reason is that he'd rather spend his time knowing how he could bring up the topic to his mother. Not thinking that it would take him exactly an hour and twenty minutes in the process as Yeonjun had his phone screen on, his mother's contact on the page and still no messages in the making.

What am I even going to say? He sighed to himself.

Looking out to the window, Yeonjun saw Ansan through the rain-splattered glass. Lights from cars lined in the road below being blurred by the rain, and people walking with umbrellas were all he could see. Skyscrapers and buildings in the distance are blended with the grey sky. The sound of the water droplets raining down drowning his thoughts.

"It rains a lot these days, doesn't it?" Taehyun said from behind, noticing the latter staring out of the window with a faraway look in his eyes.

"Yeah," Yeonjun mumbled back, his own mind lost in his own thoughts, looking at Taehyun for a silver of a moment before turning back to the window.

A small patch of the window near Yeonjun condensed, forming mist around it. It reminded him of the time he and Soobin were stuck in the cafe on a rainy day, just like this one. A smile involuntarily formed on his face by the reminisced of that memory as he reached his finger out, waiting to draw a heart.

Right when he was about to do so, letters began forming on their own on that patch as Yeonjun watched silently. Letters into decipherable phrases until they formed a solid word.

Tonight.
