a/n: i was thinking of not updating until the issue with novelhd plagiarising works from wattpad, which unfortunately includes this story as well, is resolved. but fuck it. updating helps me write faster.
— just don't read this story if you find it on any other platform than wattpad, kayh. thanks.

CHAPTER 15
JUST HANGING OUT
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TOMORROW?"
Blake looked up at her in the middle of yawning, a hand over her mouth, and then a lazy, sleepy smile appeared on her face, "Why? Are you going to ask me out?"
Baffled, she took a step back, opening and closing her mouth like a broken gate. Luisa knew that she was only joking—for some reason, her new friend seemed to gain personal satisfaction in pulling her leg, "What? No," she finally managed to say, crossing her arms and scrunching her nose in distaste.
"Wow, chill. I'm not that terrible,"
"No, I meant-," she tried again, but then just shook her head, huffing, "Never mind. You know what, just forget it,"
"Wait, wait, wait," she laughed, grabbing Luisa's arm before she could leave, "You know I was just kidding. Tell me what's up,"
Luisa sighed. Usually, she would have put up with her jokes better, even played along for a while but right then she was too anxious—more than she normally would be. And there really was something she had to ask Blake.
"Are you free tomorrow?" she asked once again, hoping for a proper answer this time around.
"I go to church in the morning. And then I'm free,"
Luisa nodded to herself, massaging one of her hands with the other. She really didn't want to bother Blake on her one day off, but it wasn't like she could ask anyone else. Also, she wouldn't ask her if she desperately needed the company, "Would you mind accompanying me somewhere maybe around afternoon?"
"Oof—Luisa looking to hang on a Sunday," she exclaimed, grinning widely, "Never thought I'd see the day this soon,"
Luisa rolled her eyes—she should have expected that from her, "Can you come along or not?"
Blake didn't even take a minute to think about it before agreeing, "Sure, but where?"
"Well," Luisa dragged out the word more than necessary before continuing, "Torrey invited me to this place,"
"You want me to be a thirdwheel,"
"No," she quickly rebutted, "No, no. It's not–" she let out a sharp breath, and then started again, "She's doing a photoshoot at this place tomorrow and asked if I wanted to come see. I couldn't exactly say no, and it's not like I don't want to go. But I'm still kind of freaking out—you know, new place, new people," Luisa hoped Blake would catch on since she'd already explained to her how she could get in unfamiliar situations.
"I'd be fine if I was going to meet only Torrey, but–"
"Okay, okay. Breathe. Jesus, you're already hyperventilating,"
"I'm sorry," Luisa tried to focus on her breathing.
"Can't you just tell her?"
"No. At least not yet," she slumped her shoulders, "I like her. And I don't want to scare her away already,"
Blake scoffed, crossing her arms, "I'll beat up her ass if she scares away because of this. I'm serious," she added, pointing a finger at Luisa when she gave her a sceptical look.
