Chapter 8: The Sunset of Hope

(Ah, another chapter. I really do like the magical girl genre. It is one of my favorite. I'm so excited for, I believe, the final act of Sailor Moon Crystal. That is going to be so cool! I also like what Precure is doing. I hope I'll see Smile again! Enjoy!)

               "Why don't we go out for a picnic together?" Alice suggested.

"A picnic?" Henri asked surprised.

Alice nodded her head at them as she explained, "A picnic together can help us become closer! I think it would be fun!"

Lulu asked curiously, "Is that how a picnic can help us?"

"We have a lot of food and drinks to share with each other. We could go to Sunset Hill and see the sun set" Ayumi suggested with a smile on her face.

Lulu's eyes grew wider when they mentioned food at the picnic.

"That sounds like a lot of fun! We can even stay till the sunsets into the night together!" Hana exclaimed as she jumped to her feet with excitement.

The Cures turned to their princess and waited to hear her opinion. Hikari smiled as she agreed with their idea. They decided to get ready for the picnic.

"What is at Sunset Hill besides the view?" Lulu asked as she walked with Hana and Emiru to the store to get the needed ingredients.

Emiru pondered on this as Hana said, "we can make it have a meaning to us!"

The two girls looked at her surprised.

"It can be a place for us to relax and form a strong bond as friends. We need to make that bond official! We are friends for life!" Hana declared proudly.

Emiru burst out laughing at Hana while Lulu could not understand this statement.

"Mehoku!" Hana said in defeat as she lowered her head in shame.

"It is a good idea, but we are already friends for life! We don't need to make it a tradition" Emiru answered, "I say, we just need to be there for each other and always keep each other in our thoughts"

Hana just sighed at her while Lulu pondered on this thought. Lulu went to Alice's mansion to get some tea for the picnic.

"Oh, Lulu, please follow me" Alice said when she opened the door to her mansion.

The two of them were at the tea closet.

"Is something troubling you? I can always listen and give you advice if you want" Alice said gently as she stood to the side of the room.

Lulu was surprised as she turned to face. Cure Rosetta. She just smiled at her friend.

"Well, Hana wants to make Sunset Hill a special place for us to forge a strong bond of friendship. I don't understand this nor the importance of it" Lulu explained in a monotone voice.

Alice was surprised at her statement and then hugged her. Lulu was not sure what Alice was doing.

"You sound lonely, Lulu. Hana just wanted to express how much she cherishes her friendship with you and make it special too. That's all" Alice answered calmly.

Lulu wasn't sure why, but she was feeling sad and hurt at Alice's words. Lulu then shook her head. She can't have these kinds of feelings. They were not programmed into her! Once Alice released Lulu, Lulu went to Henri's house with the needed teas in her bag. Alice held a sorrowful look and then to her phone to talk to Hana. Lulu arrived at Henri's house and saw him talking Ayumi and another young man.

"Oh! Lulu! It is nice to see you again! Do you need the ice cream? Please wait here for a moment" Ayumi said with a smile.

"Oh, is this the new friend I've heard so much about? The young man asked, I'm Masato, Emiru's older brother"
