Lou made her way to the kitchen, like she usually did in the mornings ― always to join the others who were awake, of course.

Most of them should be awake already, because Lou kind of overslept today. So she was all the more surprised when she entered the kitchen and found no one there.

"Uhhhh.... girls?" Lou let out confused, looking around the kitchen. She even entered the living room, but nobody was there.

"That's strange, where are th-," A voice interrupted Lou's muttering.

"The great Gold's birthday is today, where are-," Gold walked into the living room and interrupted himself as he saw Lou standing in the living room ― all by herself.

"Huh-? Where is the rest?"

"I don't know," Lou replied and shook her head lightly. "I didn't find anyone."

Gold furrowed his eyebrows; "Did you look in the kitchen?"

He then walked towards and entered the kitchen, Lou followed him.

"I did," Lou said, and stopped walking. "But they aren't here either."

"Hm," Gold turned to the calendar, which was attached on the pin board in the kitchen. Someone clearly marked Lou's and his birthday there! Gold already forgot they had the same birthday.

"Ah right, happy birthday!" Lou beamed at Gold, after looking at the pin board herself.

"Happy birthday to you too"

"Thanks," Both Gold and Lou replied at the same time, causing both of them to laugh lightly.

"It's marked in here," Gold then said. "So why would they forgot that today is my-"

"Our," Lou corrected.

"-birthday, something's definetly off."

Lou nodded. "You're right."

They turned around again, now facing the kitchen again. It was not normal for their friends to just... not be here, and it was even in the calendar so everyone remembered it. So what was the goal of the whole thing? Did they want to prank them?

"Do you think they want to prank us?" Gold asked the unspoken question. Lou snapped out of her thoughts.

"I don't think they would do that," Lou answered. "But if I'm honest, it could even be their plan."

"That's a really good joke guys!" Gold exclaimed sarcastically. "Now stop that nonsense and come out!"

But only s i l e n c e responded to him. No answer, not even a crack of wood from somewhere.

"That's odd alright!" Lou stated, listening if there was anyone who came down the stairs or something like that. She even expected them to jump out from somewhere the very next moment ― that never happened, though.

"They noticed whe aren't there," Nina informed the group, once she sneaked back to them.

"So... you think they're gonna find your note soon?"

"If Gold is too stupid to do so, Lou surely will," Nina signified, sitting down. "We only have to wait."

"Isn't it a bit... disappointing if we just let them believe we forgot their birthdays?"

"It's okay, we'll fix that later on after all."
