Chapter 28: All Magic Comes...

Emmas pov

I had no idea where I was, my eyes wouldn't focus. The world seemed to be spinning a thousand miles an hour. Rushing by, trapping me inside the endless void. After what seemed like an eternity I could see clearly. There was a machine next to me, making a suttle beep beep, beep beep, beep beep. I looked around the room and finally, I noticed where I was. A hospital. The walls a vivid white color. It smelt like chemicals, the kind they used to clean all the machines, and the smell of dried blood. Like a sudden wave my vision blurred once more, and a pain unlike any other took over my mind. The sounds of the machines faded and a loud ringing was the only sound. What happened next was a blurr of nurses and medication being injected into my IV. Then the darkness came and took me away from the crowded little room.

Killians pov

After leaving the hospital I went to Emma's place. She'd given me a key so I could get in on my own. I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened to her. Why her? Why now? My 'talking phone' starts vibrating, at first I think it is a hospital but then I realized it was David. "Please tell me Henry and Leia are there," he said before I could speak. "No, I'm here alone. I thought they were there," I said standing up off the small black couch. "No sign of them," he said. "Where the hell would they go?" he asked.

Henrys pov

"Why do you need this," I asked as Leia, Jamie and I walked out of Regina's vault. "I'm not the one who needs this, but I'm the one who had to get it," she said as she kept walking. "Where are we going now," Jamie piped in. "Gold's shop," she answered. "Why there," I asked as we turned down the street. "Because Belle and Will are there and that's the best place to be right now," Leia explained. "And what will you be doing in the meantime," I asked. "What I should have done a while ago. I'm going back to the future," she explained. "I messed things up somehow, and hopefully nothing major will change."

Reginas pov

Storybrooke has been keeping me busy. Between the Queens of Darkness and Gold, Roland and Marian being nowhere to be found, and now Emma's car accident. And of course Robin is back. Honestly him and Henry have been the only things keeping me sane right now. I was pulled back into reality by the sound of my cell phone ringing. David. "Hello," I said holding the phone to my ear and pushing a lock of hair behind my ear. "Have you seen the kids," he said. "They were here earlier, I didn't think anything of it. Why? What's going on?" I asked. "We don't know where they are," he said. I walked up the stairs and sealed the vaut behind me. "I know what they did... they brought magic back," I said feeling stupid for not relizing it sooner. "The well?" David said. "No, they've already been there, Gold's shop, that's where they'll be," I said as I started walking that way.

Leias pov

I left as soon as the shop was in view, and headed for the alley we agreed to meet at. I had to figure out why she didn't follow the plan she was supposed to complete in New York. I pulled up my hood in hopes of not being recognised. She was in the alley pacing back and forth, and pointed a gun at me when she noticed me. "It's just me," I said putting my hands up. "Sorry, just a little on edge," she said tucking the gun back in her coat. "Why didn't you talk to her in New York?" I asked. "I was afraid, it was a long time ago. I mean she probably doesn't want to see me, we didn't exactly leave things on good terms," she said sadly. "Look, I know what happened between the two of you, and trust me, a lot of far worse things happened after that," I said trying to convince her. "I know, but what I did was still horrible," she said hanging her head a little bit. "Either way I have to leave, so," I said setting my back pack down and pulling out the book. Then I tore out the page, folded it, and handed it to her. I also gave her the small vial that was the liquid form of the gem. "I'm counting on you to do what I set out to do," I said sliding the book back inside and zipping my back pack. "Are you sure this will work?" she asked unsure. "No, but if there's one thing my family has taught me, it's to have hope," I said.

Reginas pov

I was walking down the dimly lit sidewalk on my way to Gold's shop when I noticed someone following me. I turned and made a fire ball appear in my hand. "Calm down, it's only little old me," she said trying to sound innocent. "The sea bitch," I said. "Why don't you slither back to the ink factory you call a home," I added putting venom behind each word. "See the queen still has her royal big mouth," another voice said. "The eyebrow," I said. "Let me guess who's behind me, well atleast she hasn't used her dragon breath on me yet. Which I guess is a good sign," I said. "Hello to you too Regina," Maleficent said walking and standing next to the two others. "What do you want," I asked the three of them. "What makes you think we want anything from you?" Ursula shot. "Well I haven't been suction-cupped, or attacked by dogs, or lit on fire so there must be a reason for this conversation," I said. "We want you to join us," Maleficent said. "Now why would I do that," I asked stunned by her statement. "Because we can get you your happy ending. Marian is it? she's back with Gold, and the little boy. We say the word, they both die," she said. "Leave him alone," I said angrily. "Now, do we have a deal," Maleficent asked. After a moment of hesitation I agreed.

Emmas pov

I woke up, I didn't know how much time had passed, but I was still in that room. My head pounded with every thought, and it hurt to breathe, but I'm alive. I think. Memories of what had happed flooded my mind like a river. I looked across the room to see a nurse looking at the machine that had been placed by my bed. "Miss Swan, you're awake," she said turning toward me. "I'll notify you're family," she continued before walking out the door.

Davids pov

Henry and Leia were nowhere to be found. They weren't at the hospital, Emma's appartment, the loft, and Regina wouldn't answer her phone. I called the last person I knew of who they could be with. Belle. After a few rings she picked up and told me Henry and Jamie were there but Leia wasn't. Where the hell is she?

Reginas pov

I went with the three of them to Gold's cabin deep in the woods. He was there waiting for us with- August? He was back in his adult form, with his hands tied behind his back, and a look of pure fear etched on his face. "How-" I began but Gold cut me off. "He can help us find what we're looking for, the author." With nothing but fear in his voice, August asked me to help him. I just sadly shook my head, knowing if I did Roland and Marian would be killed- if they weren't already dead.

Emmas pov

A few minutes after the nurse left she came back with Killian walking right behind her. "Twenty minutes," she said leaving. He came over and without a word walked over and hugged me. Every move I made hurt like hell, but it was worth it. "How are you feeling," he asked pulling a hospital chair up next to the bed and sitting down. "I've been better," I said. Even talking was painful. Like knives being jabbed into my lungs, taking all the air in them away. "Your dad is on his way," he said. "Ok," I said with a weak smile.

Davids pov

What else could go wrong? I thought to myself. In one night the world seemed to be falling apart. Snow and I had just gotten a call from the hospital that Emma was awake, so after leaving Neal with Granny we made our way over there. We found the room she was in and when we got there we found that Killian was there with her. "Hey Emma," Snow said hugging her. "Hi," Emma said weakly. "How are you feeling," I asked pulling up a chair on the oppisite side as Killian. "I'm ok," she said with a small smile. "What do you remember," I continued. "I was driving towards the town line, and then there was a flash of light and-" she swallowed hard and then continued, "I rolled down the hill and when I looked back toward the road- there were two people." Snow and I exchanged glances, then I asked. "Do you know who they were?" She closed her eyes tight trying to remember. "Cruella and Maleficent," she said as her eyes shot open. "Are you sure," I asked. "Yes, it was them," was her answer.
