"You understand the problem now? Any questions?" Taehyung and Kijung were in the living room, going over the girl's homework.

It was raining hard, making Taehyung's stay longer than usual. Kijung had begged him to stay, saying how it was not safe for the alpha to go out in that rain. Taehyung tried to shrug it off, assuring her that it was okay and that he didn't live too far away, but the girl insisted on him staying. And just as expected, Taehyung couldn't refuse the offer.

"I think I get it now." She hummed, leaning over to complete the problem and receiving a thumbs up when she did it right.

"It's getting late, so I think we can stop for now." Taehyung offered a smile, looking out the window to see that the rain didn't seem to come to a stop. "Hey, isn't your brother a little late too? He's normally here by this time?" He'd been trying to avoid the topic, but now it was getting concerning.

The alpha looked at Kijung. She suddenly went still at the mention of her brother, almost as if she had been trying to forget it. Her eyes stared at one spot on the carpet and Taehyung could see her fisting her dress.

"Hey, I'm sure it's okay. He's a big guy. Sorry for worrying you." Taehyung placed a hand on her shoulder, not thinking twice about comforting the girl. He grew up surrounded by his younger omega siblings and had always taken it upon himself to take care of them. Kijung reminded him of them.

"It's alright. I just tend to worry about him. Jungkook oppa can be…" She stopped herself, not sure if she could speak her mind so freely.

Actually, she had been worrying for a while. Jungkook would normally be home by then, and in the case he did extra hours or couldn't come back, he would always tell her. It was certainly strange that he didn't appear yet. Not a call or a message and she had been subtly taking glances at her phone every now and then, trying to act normally so as to not make her tutor notice.

Taehyung wanted to say something, but the door suddenly swung open and two figures drenched in water walked right in. The two men stopped walking as they saw both the alpha and omega stand up to face them with wide eyes.

"Oppa! Why are you so late and... wet? Do you know how worried I was? Are you okay?" Kijung was shaking slightly as she stood there.

Jungkook didn't say anything, moving quickly and making his way across the living room and hugged his sister. "I'm sorry, Ki. I was having a late meeting and forgot to tell you." He spoke softly in a tone Taehyung certainly hadn't heard him talk in before.

The girl hugged him back, "Don't do that again. I was really worried."

"I won't." He whispered into her ear before glancing up and seeing Taehyung. He was just standing there, looking at the siblings' interaction and for a second, they locked eyes.

Taehyung wasn't sure what was going on. Clearly, the Jeon's were very close and Kijung was simply worried, but right now, as he saw the elder of the two hugging her in an attempt to comfort her, the two were just staring at each other, unable to look anywhere else. This definitely wasn't the moment to be ogling each other.

In a poor attempt to look away, Taehyung let his eyes fall to the wet clothing the older alpha was wearing. The man was wearing black from head to toe as usual. What wasn't usual, was the streak of red he saw run over the man's arm and he could see how he was trying to avoid touching Kijung with that arm. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked back at Jungkook's eyes, who silently told him not to say anything.

"I'll go change. You should be preparing to sleep, it's late." Jungkook took a step back, placing a hand on her head and slightly patting it.

"But, Taehyung oppa is still here. The storm is too strong for him to go back alone." Kijung pointed at the still standing college student. Well, this was awkward.
