"Alright, what did you find? This better be important. I had plans tonight."
Jungkook entered his office, his pace fast, and took off his coat, throwing it over the couch. He walked over to his desk, sitting on the large swivel chair and raising an eyebrow as Yoongi sat across from him.
"Sorry to interrupt your date with Taehyung. I'd gladly be in one with Jimin if this wasn't important." The elder's tone was flat out sarcastic, knowing that if it were someone besides himself talking to Jungkook with that tone, it would earn them a one way trip to the nearest hospital.
"For the last time, it's just movie night and Kijung is also there."
"Whatever lets you sleep at night."
Rolling his eyes was the least he could help himself to do. Honestly, he was exhausted. It'd been a long week and he was for once looking forward to the one night in the week he had to go home early and do nothing.
Originally, it was something that started off with Kijung more or less puppy-eying her way into convincing her older brother to have movie night with her. She'd lock the door to his home office and call him as many times as she deemed necessary to have Jungkook back home by eight so they could spend some sibling quality time together.
Of course, Jungkook, being unable to deny his little sister anything, had very hesitantly accepted, knowing that his job would most likely than not, not allow him to have the luxury to take a weekly night off. So even if it meant cluttering his schedule to somehow fit Saturday nights with Kijung, he'd pull as many all-nighters to finish his pending work.
It was just to be expected that he'd earn quite a few comments from his closest hyungs, him having a "sister complex" being the main one. But Jeon Jungkook was a man of his word… most of the time, and if he promised Kijung of all people that they'd have movie night, then have it for a fact that he would move heaven and earth to have it.
The only difference now was the addition of a certain alpha that had started to join this little tradition of theirs three weeks prior.
"Are you gonna tell me what you've got or are we just gonna sit here all night speculating?"
Now, Yoongi was by all means not the most patient person out there. He forced himself to be due to his job that required dealing with a handful of underlings as well as a younger boss that could be considered a handful all by himself. But even saints had their limits and Yoongi wouldn't call himself a saint to be exact.
He was known to be quite the opposite, being brutally honest and mean if he wanted to. His personality, most of the time, wouldn't allow him to be disrespectful however, carrying himself with a measured level of class and eloquence, but hurtful nonetheless.
In his defence, he dealt with a lot of bullshit on a basis, and if he wanted to keep the little sanity he had left, he needed to be cruel (in his job, that is).
The two had known each other for a long time and the trust they had formed through the years was irreplaceable. So when it was only the two of them, Yoongi knew exactly how to act when the brat inside his boss came out. And that was with zero mercy.
"If being in denial is speculating, then call it what you want. Seriously, I've seen patients with PTSD snap out of it faster than you."
Jungkook wasn't any better in the patience department.
"Now that's rich coming from someone that took three months to accept a date with the person they'd been pining on for double the amount of time."
Yoongi scoffed. "Watch it, kid. This isn't about me, so don't even think of trying to redirect this conversation. And before you even try to argue with me like you've been doing since you were sixteen, let's get on with business."
