Who needed an alarm when there was a storm to serve the purpose of waking even the heaviest of sleepers? The loud thunder had woken taehyung up a while ago and he was unsuccessfully attempting to conceal some sleep.
It was too fucking early for anyone to be doing anything productive and in all honesty, Taehyung woke up remembering the occurences of the previous night. He didn't want to think about it and he wasn't ready to wake up and face the reality of things.
He felt cold, as the rain hadn't stopped throughout the entire night. The sheets were doing little to keep him warm and all he could do was hug himself in an attempt to find some warmth. The long sleeves of the hoodie were draped over his hands as he laid on his side, bringing his knees close to his chest, slightly burying his face as close to his limbs as possible.
It smelt nice. The citrus scent made him feel warm somehow, reminding him of a warm summer day. He remembered those summers that he spent with his cousins and siblings in his grandparents farm. The face of his grandmother carrying a tray of fresh, ripe fruit looked so vivid, as if it hadn't been years ago. He missed those days. The memories that brought him so much warmth and comfort suddenly came rushing as he took a deep breath, snuggling against the fabric of the hoodie.
And then, another scent piqued his interest. It was slightly stronger, musty and a little chilly. It smelt of sandalwood on a cold winter morning. His mind travelled not so far back and the memories of a forest covered in snow painted a picture behind his closed eyes. He remembered the little habit he had of going to the woods close to his campus right during final exams every winter. He liked walking through the snow, seeing the forest covered in white and the icy air filling his lungs when he felt stressed. He loved nature and something about an empty forest painted in snow had always brought him peace of mind. He liked to go there during the mornings before a final exam and just calm down his anxiety. It was a beautiful comfort.
He opened his eyes, cheeks slightly flushed as the image of the older alpha flashed through his mind. It was Jungkook's hoodie after all. No wonder why it smelt like him. It was nice.
Suddenly, Taehyung sat up, breathing rapidly and he could feel his cheeks warm. What was he even thinking of?
He wasn't going to deny he was attracted to the elder. He was, after all, very handsome and had a killer smile and he smelled nice and- well, he liked it. But he was convinced that most of it was due to the other being a pure alpha and his pheromones. He couldn't help it. He knew he was trying to get him to help him and all, but Jungkook could be a pain in the ass, too. He wasn't looking for a relationship, he just needed the alpha to help him. And that made him feel so fucking guilty.
He needed to talk to Jimin.
Taehyung reached over for his phone, groaning when he remembered it didn't have battery.
Well, now he was completely awake and he definitely wasn't going to be able to go back to sleep. He threw the blanket aside and stood up, getting out of the room and hoping he wouldn't get lost.
Miraculously enough, Taehyung found the stairs and quietly made his way down. He was going to get something to eat and then go back, maybe look for a charger and-
"Good morning, Taehyung oppa. Please, take a seat, I made pancakes!" Kijung was standing near the stove with an apron on and a spatula in one hand.
Taehyung stood still, surprised that he wasn't the first one to be up. And here he thought he had to go all ninja to not wake anyone up.
"You better sit down before Kijung gets upset."
Taehyung turned to see the owner of that ever so familiar tone. "Namjoon hyung?"
