You woke up, rubbing your eyes trying to rub sleepiness away. You lifted your body up with your arms, sitting up, back facing the wall. You let out a loud yawn and stretched your arms out. You drowsy looked around, only seeing your small brown stuffed bear. You smiled to yourself realizing that was all just a crazy dream, or so you thought.

Not long after you woke up you saw a yellow triangle float his way to you, his weird voice calling for you, "BOOKWORM!" he finally yelled after a few seconds of him calling you.

You sighed, grabbed a pillow, and buried your face in it, "please be a dream, please, please" you mumbled into the pillow.

"Nope! Not a dream," he laughed looking at your miserable figure, "We have a big day today, bookworm," you could practically feel his smile, if he had a mouth at least.

"I know, I know," you mumbled, face still in your pillow.

He started, "You're taking me to the..."

"Mall," you both said in unison, he spoke in such a happy tone, like when he was in your body. You, on the other hand, dreaded this. It wasn't like you don't mind spending money on him, and school wasn't a problem for you. You just didn't wanna be stuck with him for any longer than you had to.

Without thinking you grabbed the pillow you were currently sulking in and threw it right through Bill. To your surprise, you both bursted out into laughter.

"God kid," He said between gasps of air, "you really are weird". You just rolled your eyes at this and got out of bed. You motioned to the door, seeing it still open from last night. Bill looked at you, crossed his arms, and pouted like a small child. For a dream demon, he was quite stubborn.

"I can't get ready if you're gonna be there watching," you said flatly. Giving him a small glare. After he rolled his eye he made his way out, blowing you a raspberry through his weird eye, mouth?

You rolled your eyes, closing the door right after he left. You put your back against it, your hands laid flat on the door, as you traced your fingers over the grooves of the door. You did that as you slowly slid against the door, letting out a long sigh. 'I'm gonna be stuck with this idiot for a while huh?' you asked yourself. You sat there for a while before scrambling to stand up as your phone alarm rang.

You quickly went over to your nightstand and turned off the alarm. It was 6:30, you always woke up earlier than you needed to but rather be safe than sorry. You saw the date, 'Monday, October 22' it read. You sighed as you realized today would be the first day you ever skipped school.

It was a bittersweet feeling, on one hand, you didn't have to worry about a stupid demon possing you and making you look like a fool in front of everyone, on the other you had to be stuck with a stupid demon.

You quickly shook your head feeling uncomfortable at the amount you've been thinking of this demon. You looked in your closet for appropriate clothes, you quickly looked out the window to see what type of weather it'd be. You had a small smile on your face once you saw the orangish brownish leaves swirl around and fall on the floor. You looked back at your wardrobe, seeing a white turtleneck sweater and a brown skirt, you grabbed the two and some undergarments and made your way to your bathroom. You turned on the shower, waiting a bit for the water to come to a nice temperature and began to get ready for a shower.

On the other hand, Bill was downstairs floating around the house. He was still thinking about what just happened. To say he had a crazy yet very uneventful night was an understatement. 'God her hopes were like straight out of a book' he thought to himself, crossing his arms. 'Book? THE JOURNAL' he immediately remembered about the journal, about how you found it near your elementary school. He tried to remember where you could have put it, he did go past years of your life so he was sure he'd see something. He floated down and took a seat on the couch trying to go through your memories.

As he thought more and more about it, he soon realized how truly lonely you were. He didn't think much of it, skipping past that realization to try to find the real thing he was looking for. He smiled to himself once he remembered seeing you carry it into one of the rooms upstairs.

He quickly flew upstairs, starting with your room. He flew in, not seeing you anymore, rather hearing the shower and some mumbling. He got closer to the source of the sound, coming to the conclusion it was behind the other door in your room. He quickly realized you were singing, and once he discovered that, he couldn't help but burst into laughter. You didn't sing badly, at least in Bill's opinion, you were decent at best. He just found it amusing.

He began his search, through the books you had on your nightstand, the books under the night stan, the books next to your desk. He finally looked under your bed, quickly wishing he didn't. Under it was filled with books, no wonder why he called you bookworm.

With a snap of a finger, everything was gray, at least in your room. In your bathroom, you were minding your own business as such. With another snap, all the books flew out, Bill quickly scanned through all of them, looking for a very familiar book cover. He sighed in defeat as he couldn't find it and snapped his fingers once more. Not only did this put all your books back, everything was back in color.

As he was about to go to the next room, you came out. He must have been too busy to realize the weird noise stopped. You came out wearing the outfit you had picked. You looked at Bill with a confused expression.

"I thought you went downstairs to wait?" You asked, eyeing the demon.

"I did, but you see..." He started looking away, "This bear!" you just looked at him as he pointed to your stuffed bear. He flew over to your bed and grabbed it, shoving it in your face. "He uh he was interesting to me so I had to come back up and look."

You just looked at him dumbfounded and grabbed the bear and tried to hit him. You let out a small 'huh' as you watch your arm go right through him. He was able to hold your bear but you couldn't even punch him?

He laughed at your confused face, "Normally I wouldn't be able to control it," he began to explain, you placed your bear back on your bed and quickly began to make it. There isn't much work to do since you never undid your blanket or covers. You moved your hand signaling him to continue. "Our little deal gave me enough power to be able to control it." You finished making your bed and just looked at him, tilting your head, like a confused puppy. "Look, all you gotta know is I can go through solid things and I can become one." You just nodded in understatement and grabbed a pair of white knee-high socks. "Can we go nowwww?" Bill whined.

Part of you felt like you were dealing with a powerful demon, the other part just thought this was a weird baby, someone left at the park. You just found it and decided to take it in. "Let me grab my coat and shoes." You said as you finished putting on your socks.

He looked at you as you walked over to your closet pulling out a white/ivory coat. "You look stupid" you heard him say behind you.

You walked over to where you kept all your shoes and grabbed a pair of white dress shoes. "Thanks, Bill" You rolled your eyes and walked out the door. Bill falling in suit.

You put your phone, wallet, and house keys in your front pocket and grabbed a banana from the fruit bowl. Bill watched as you carried your shoes and banana in one hand and opened the door with the other.

"I could have helped you know," he says lazily.

You just sighed as you sat down on the porch swing and slipped on both your shoes. You looked over at Bill, seeing him out of the house watching as the cars passed by. You stood up, closed, and locked the front door.

"Ready Bill?" you asked, beginning to peel your banana.

"Ready!" he said enthusiastically, "How about you bookworm?"

You turned around, facing the street. As both you and Bill watch the cars go by, you took a bite of your banana and didn't say anything, only thinking. 'I'm as ready as I'll ever be, Cipher.'
