Lenora POV

We made it back to the compound without me crying again, Steve was currently with Bucky in his room trying to help him with their memories together, It was my turn after.

 What if this doesn't work and he never remembers.

"It will work" Wanda says 

"What" I say 

"I can read minds remember" She says moving closer to me.

"Oh yeah," I said laughing slightly.

"Lenora" Someone says my name, I turn around to see Steve looking at me.

"Did he remember anything, what happened" I say running to him 

"Well I talked about the day me and him meet and he said he remembers it but it was blurry" he explains

"Well that's good at least he remembers something" I say hopefully, Steve just nods in reply.

I walk down the hall slowly to Buckys room, I was nervous I know I shouldn't be but I was. I wanted him to remember me and our time together so bad. I don't know what I'll do if they don't come back, or what if they do and he doesn't love me anymore. Oh god, I shouldn't be overthinking things. Everything will be fine.

It's going to go okay.

I grab the door handle and stand there for a minute before I opened the door and entered the room. He sat on the couch by the far wall, he didn't look up as I entered and walked over to him. I sat next to him and waited if he said anything, he didn't.

"Hey Bucky" I say, he looks at me and smiles slightly.

"Hello" He says 

"Look I know this may be strange, but can you not remember me at all" I ask 

He looks up at me and doesn't look away.

"No, I'm sorry" He says 

"You don't need to apologize it's fine me and Steve are going to help you okay" I say placing my hand on his knee.

"So where do you want me to start is there anything you want to know first" I ask 

"The day we met, I want to know about that" He says 

1942 

"Thank you for inviting me round Steve" I say walking up to his house.

"No problem, oh and did I tell you I had a roommate" He says taking out his keys 

"No, you didn't" I say laughing slightly

"You'll love him" He says as we enter the house.

We sit down at the table and talk for a while before the front door opens, I look to see a tall brunette man, my first thought was that he was very attractive. He had beautiful blue eyes and a charming smile. 

He walked over and sat beside me as he spoke to Steve.

"Bucky this is Lenora" Steve says, Bucky then looks at me with a wide smile.

"Nice to meet you" He says shaking my hand.

I felt my cheeks go red as we looked at each other, I heard him chuckle as he looked back to Steve.

It's been a few hours since I came to Steve and Buckys and we've been talking and well drinking for hours, there was no way I was going to get home.

"Hey Steve is it okay if I stay I don't think I will be able to get home" I say sitting down on the couch next to Bucky who was nearly asleep.

"Yeah of course" He says before leaving the room.

He didn't come back though for a while and I was starting to get pretty tired I could feel myself falling asleep. I might as well just rest for a little while, as I wait for Steve to come back. I shut my eyes and rested my head against the back of the couch.

I woke up to the sun shining on my eyes, I only meant to rest my eyes not fall asleep. I blink my eyes to adjust to the light. I looked up to see Buckys asleep, he looked so peaceful. 

Wait 

I finally realize I was lying on Bucky, his hand was around my waist mine were placed on his stomach, how the hell did I end up like this. I slowly sit up moving my hands off him. I try so hard not to wake him but it was no use cause the next thing I know is I'm being pulled back down. I look up at him to see him laughing at me.

"Bucky you scared me" I say laughing at him.

"Sorry Doll" He says with a charming smile.

Present-day 

"I think I remember something" Bucky says 

"What is it" I ask 

"Well It's very blurry but I remember me you and Steve were laughing and drinking together," He says.

"And then you fell asleep on me" He says.

"You remember" I say leaping forward and hugging him. I feel his arms wrap around my back as he hugs me, I felt so safe in his arms.

"I'm glad I'm remembering," He says

"Me too" I say pulling back and looking at him, his arms still wrapped around my back. I looked at his lips I wanted to kiss him so badly but I knew it was too soon for him, eventually, we can but I don't want to overwhelm him, so, for now, it's baby steps, we will get there soon.

"I can't wait to know you again Lenora" He says
