After the crash in 1945 Lenora wakes up with Steve to find that they have slept for 70 years, Lenora has to find the courage to keep going each day without her Fiancé Bucky Barnes who she thinks had died but when she finds out he's alive after all...
After Bucky remembered the day we met we've been going over a lot of things but nothing else seems to be helping. And I could tell Bucky was getting annoyed by it.
"Erm do you have anything of mine, cause maybe that could help" He asks
"Erm I don't know- I stop when I realize I do have something of his, how did I forget.
I quickly run out of Buckys room and down to mine. I run into my room and go to the drawer next to my bed, I open it and find his dog tag, this has got to bring back something. I run back down the hall but before I get to his room I bump into Steve.
"Careful Lenora" He says
"Sorry" I say before running back to Buckys room.
He looks confused as I sit back next to him. I hold out my hand, he looked down and stared at his dog tag.
"Since the day you gave me this, I never let it go" I say as he takes it from my hand.
"Something coming to me" He says shutting his eyes.
1945
I continue shooting until I hear a loud explosion from the other end of the train, I shove my gun in my pocket and run to the sound.
I get to where the sound came from to see the side of the train blown up, I see Steve hanging on the edge talking to someone, I run over and turn to see Bucky hanging onto a metal bar. My heart started racing so fast.
"Steve grab him" I screamed as I watched Bucky reach for Steves's arm. There was nothing I could do but watch.
"Lenora" I heard Bucky shout, I look his way he had tears in his eyes as he looked at me.
"I love you" He says before I watch the metal bar he was holding onto break.
"NO" I scream as I watch Bucky fall. Steves jumps on the train and holds me as I cry.
"Why didn't you grab him" I say angrily
"Lenora I tried" He says holding my arms.
"Whatever, we need to go get him" I say looking out the giant hole in the side of the train.
"Lenora he's probably dead"
"I know Steve but we can't just leave his body down there" I say before climbing up the train and jumping onto the tracks, I hear Steve follow behind me.
We make our way over to the plane as fast as we can, we get it started and start searching for him, we couldn't see him anywhere.
"Steve it's getting dark we need to find him" I say holding back tears, I didn't want to cry in front of Steve anymore.
"I know- He stops what he's saying when he stares out the window next to him.
"What is it him" I say rushing over by his side. I look down out the window to see a figure moving there was a long trail of blood behind it though.
"Steve get down there now" I say quickly as I run to the back of the plane to get ready to get out.
Steve lands the plane and we quickly get out, I could see the figure in the snow, it wasn't moving though. Panic came over me and I ran even faster. I stopped as I got closer to actually see it was Bucky, he was unconscious, and his right arm was gone, I took off my jacket and wrapped it around him to stop the blood, I could hear Steve shouting his name.
I looked down at him to see him slowly opening his eyes.
"Yes Bucky come on open your eyes" I say
"Lenora" He says weakly
"Hey, it's going to be okay we are- " I get cut off by the sounds of helicopters and trucks. I look all around us to see the sign HYDRA on all the vehicles.
"Steve quick we need to go" I say trying to lift Bucky.
"Lenora no leave me" Bucky says.
"What, no were going to get you out of here" I say
His other arm holds onto my arm I look down at him, he shakes his head at me. I start to cry I couldn't leave him here. I watch as he moves his hand off my arm and too around his neck, he takes off his dog tag carefully and places it in my hand.
"Take her Steve" He says looking at him, he nods in reply.
Before I can say anything Steve grabs me and starts walking us back to the plane, I scream and shout for Bucky, I see him mouth "I love you" before he gets grabbed by a bunch of people from HYDRA. I watch as they drive away.
My Bucky was gone.
I'm never going to see him again.
Present Day
"Lenora what's wrong" Bucky says looking at me in worry.
"I'm sorry it's just thinking about the day you gave me that, it hurts me so much I thought I was never going to see you again" I say wiping my eyes.
"I can remember falling and watching you and Steve walk away" He says.
"As much as this hurts I'm glad it's working" I say looking up at him with a smile.
And for the first time since I've seen him again, he smiled at me. My heart tightened, I love him so much. At this moment I've realized I'm finally going to get my Bucky back, It may take time but he'll be with me soon and we can finally do what we've always wanted to.
