That night, I called Jadee and told her about Tony calling and our date. She thought a double date was an awesome idea! I was so nervous when he called to confirm. "What should I whear?" He asked. "Oh, just casual. It's just a movie and snacks at Jadee's house." "Alright. I'll see you in an hour then?" I gasped. I had lost track of time reading, and I was still wearing my school clothes and a face mask. "Yeah, See ya, Tony!" I hung up and quickly washed the mask off. I put on a fitting T-Shirt, and some skinny jeans. I left my hair down and put a bandana on. I grabbed my phone and went upstairs to leave. "Where are you going?" My Mom intercepted me. I remembered that I didn't tell her about tonight or about tony. I couldn't tell her now! "Well, there is a kid my age at Jadee's house that wants some help making friends, so I'm going over there to introduce myself and explain how our school works." I smiled convincingly. "Oh, hon! I'm so glad you are doing service, but I expected your help with dinner!" My shoulders fell. "I'm sorry, Mom. Jadee is expecting me." She smiled and tipped her head. "Well, because it is service, I'll let you go, but please make sure your homework gets done. I nodded and hugged her. "Thank you, Mom! See you later!" I ran outside, and sighed in relief. I got in the truck and headed to Jadee's.
Tony was waiting for me when I got there. He was wearing a beenie and a nice shirt. He smiled and greeted me by putting his arm in mine. When I walked into Jadee's house, she greeted us. "Hey, guys! come on in! My parents managed to get all of my siblings out of the house for a night, so we are all alone! You ready for an awesome night?" I smiled. "Yeah! Thanks Jadee!" She had popped popcorn and made a huge bowl of Muddy Buddies, my favorite. Tony smiled and sat down on the couch in front of the large TV. The opening menu was on the screen. He invited me to come sit down next to him, and I did. At first, It was kind of awkward, but then Jadee and Jackson sat down and started the movie. Soon, I once again got sucked into the storyline. At one point in the movie, an intense part came on. Something jumped out on the screen, and I jumped, startled. Tony put his arm around me, and I got embarrassed. He leaned into me and whispered "It's ok, Cherry. I've seen this before and it all turns out ok." I smiled shyly. He smiled back. I watched the rest of the movie with my head resting on his chest. Jadee looked at me and smiled. She snapped a picture with her Poleroid camera, and I slowly fell asleep.
I awoke to Tony talking softly to me. "Hey, Cherry. The movie is over. Do you want me to drive you home?" I smiled and stretched. "No, it's ok, thanks." I fixed my hair. "I'm sorry I fell asleep on you." He chuckled. "No problem." Jadee came over with a Ziploc of Muddy Buddies and handed it to me. Here, give this to your Mom and say thanks. I smiled and accepted it. Then, she gave me the poleroid of the two of us. I blushed and smiled. "I'll walk you to your car, Cherry." Tony offered. I nodded at said goodbye to Jadee and Jackson. When I walked outside, the moonlight bathed us. I could see everything. "Hey, thanks for tonight, realy." He said from beside me. I turned to him. He was so handsome. "I love your smile." He said to me. "I love yours, too." I replied. He stood in front of my car and looked down at me. "You are so beautiful." His eyes looked sweetly into mine. I was speechless. "You, too." He smiled and hugged me. He was an amazing hugger. I felt secure and surrounded by love. "Goodbye, Cherry." He said, letting me go. "Goodbye, Tony." I replied and climbed into my car. I drove home, in a happy daze.
At home in my vent again, I taped up the picture of the two of us onto the wall. We looked so in love. He was handsome, and I was fast asleep on his chest. I noticed that he was smiling sweetly at me. I drew a small heart on the corner, and opened my diary. I wrote all about it, and, still in my daze, hoped, wished, and prayed that me loves me like I love him.
