Halloween rolled around, and on the morning of the 30th, I woke up for school and put on my costume. I looked RAD. I took a selfie and sent it to Tony. He responded "You look super hot, My lady! My outfit is a surprise! See u at school!'' I smiled and closed my phone. I thank you'd several comments as I went downstairs. I got even more as I walked down the hallway to my locker. As soon as I spotted Tony, I gasped. He was dressed like Captain America, and he wore it like a BOSS. He looked over at me and his eyes got wide. He walked over and gave me a high five. "Holy crap! You look so hot! This is so cool!" I blushed. "I was just thinking the same thing about you!" He looked around sheepishly. I could tell he wanted to kiss me. And in all honesty, I Really wanted to kiss him, too. "Ok, Captain, follow me!" I took his hand and we ran to the stage in the gym. Once we where safely hidden behind the curtain, We started to kiss. Make out, even. The bell rang, pulling us out of the trance we where in. I laughed and looked up into his eyes. His eyes absolutely hypnotized me. "I love you, Black Widow." I smiled. "I love you, Captain America." We headed off to class.
Our school doesn't do dances, but they do do a costume contest every Halloween. Jadee, Jackson, Tony, and I entered as a group, but didn't win. I was actually kinda glad. I didn't want the attention, or for anybody to ask me about Tony. School ended, and Tony and I agreed to meet at 9:00 tonight. I had to take my little siblings trick-or-treeting until then, but Mom let us older kids stay out later, as long as we where home by 11 sharp. I was ecstatic for the chance to hang out with Jadee and Tony. Usually I was the one that was handing out candy at home, but this year, Hannah graciously volunteered to take my place. I said goodbye to Tony, and headed home.
"So, who are you again?" Mom asked me as I adjusted the cat ears on Gina's head. Her and Cara where being "Siamese twins". "I told you, Black Widow." My Mom dumped a bag of Reeces into the bowl. "Who is that? The spider, you mean?" I kept myself from rolling my hazel eyes. "No, she's a superhero." My mom nodded and handed Taylor a pumpkin candy bag. Taylor was being Ladybug from Miraculous. "Well, just be a hero and make sure these Kids stay out of trouble and don't have too much sugar." "See ya, Mom. Come on, Miley." Miley, plad in a Tinker Bell costume, Whined and clung to Mom's knee. "She doesn't have to go, just bring her back something." Mom said, opening the door. "Okay, Mom." I left with the three girls. About 4 steps out the door, Gina and Cara had a disagreement and started yelling at each other. Taylor walked up to me and took my hand. I looked down at her and smiled. "Sorry, I just hate fighting. Especially yelling." I nodded. "I'm sorry. I get it though. It's hard being a shy girl in our big, rambunctious family." I shot the twins a sharp look. "Hey, you know, we are both superheroes! We could go off and save the world together!" She squeezed my hand. I laughed. "Okay, Taylor! Let's do it!" She looked back. "But we'll have to take our cats with us."
I carried Taylor into the house on my back. She was asleep. All three of them had ran around and eaten candy all night, and after a huge energy rush, they where zonked. I set her down on the couch and put the candy bowls on the counter. It was just barely dark. My phone rang, and "Jadee" was across the screen. I answered quietly. "Hey, I just dropped my siblings off, I'll be right there." She sounded like she was in a crowd. "Ok, see ya!" I hung up and started walking towards the corner. Tony was gonna pick me up. I put a hoodie on over my head so that if anyone drove by I wouldn't be busted. I saw his truck and smiled. When I approached, he got out and opened the door for me. I gave him a quick kiss as I got in.
"Hey, Babe. Why the hoodie?"
"I needed to hide my identity in case Hydra was after me." I joked.
"You didn't want anyone to see you, did you?"
I nodded sadly. He put his hand on my cheek and smiled.
"I love you."
"Love you, too"
When we met up with Jadee she handed us bags to put candy in. "I know we are kinda old for trick-or-treating, but when I was taking my siblings around I made a list of the people with the best candy. There is even a guy giving out soda pop!" Tony took the list. "Alright, lets do this!" We started off on Jackson's ATV, and where going around town taking candy from complete strangers. It was funny, if you think about it. We are taught over and over again to not take candy from strangers... unless it's pillowcases full every October. By the end of the night, I had a pretty good chunk of candy to take home and put in my vent, otherwise it would inevitably be stolen by my sugar-hungry siblings. Many people complimented mine and Tony's outfits. Jackson dropped us off at Tony's truck, and we still had an hour till I needed to be home. "Wanna go there?" I already knew where he meant. "You know it." He smiled and drove me to the familiar trees that marked our place.
