Casey's pov:

I fell onto my bed with a relieved sigh. It felt so good to be home. What didn't feel good was remembering that on Monday I'd be back to harsh training with coach crowley. Just as I was about to crash into a deep sleep, I heard a familiar knock at my door.

"Hello Casey." Sam smiled widely.

"What do you want, weirdo? You don't live here anymore." I got up to give him a tight hug.

"Well I assumed you'd been missing me so here I am."

I lightly smacked the back of his head before hearing another familiar voice down the hallway.

"Sammy, you in here?" Zahid asked, poking his head through the door.

"Hola Elsa Jr." He saluted at me.

"Call me that again and see what happens." I glared at him.

Zahid threw his arms up in defence and we all started laughing. I caught them up on all the UCLA stuff and the stuff with me and Izzie. I wasn't ever going to admit it but I had definitely missed these idiots. The house was weirdly quiet without them here.

"I hate to interrupt, but we're going to be kate for your doctor's appointment." Sam turned to Zahid.

"Right you are Sammy. Later, Track star," Zahid said, dramatically. "Give your mom a hug for me."

He dashed out, barely missing the pillow I threw at the door. Zahid always had a weird obsession with our mom. It made me very very uncomfortable. I tried to continue where I left off and take a nap but my door opened again.

"What?!" I yelled before realizing it was my dad at the door.

"Woah, I just want to talk." He slowly walked in and sat on the edge of my bed.

I rolled my eyes as he sat down. The last conversation we had wasn't very friendly, since he said some stuff about Izzie that I was not okay with.

"So uh, how was the trip?" He asked, shifting awkwardly.

"Fine, why?"

"I worry about you, Casey." His eyes softened.

I looked away from him and groaned, "Oh, so is that why you're interfering with my life now?"

"Talking about what I see isn't interfering. I was just trying to look out for you."

"Nobody asked you to, dad. So do me a favor and stay out of my relationship." I sighed.

He stood up and walked towards the door. Turning to look at me one more time, he left. But I didn't care. I wanted nothing less than an apology from him. His friend died recently but instead of talking about his feelings, hes been lashing out at me and making my life hell. That wasnt okay.

Izzie's pov:

As I walked into my house, I was immediately tackled with hugs. My siblings all attacked me at once and absolutely knocked the wind out of me.

"We missed you!" Luisa yelled happily.

"I missed you guys too." I smiled at them.

The smile quickly faded as my mother walked into the room. She glared at me violently. If looks could kill, I'd be six  feet under. Daniel sensed the tension and took the kids upstairs so they wouldn't witness the argument that was about to happen.

"Isabella."

"Mother."

The silence was harsh. We stared at each other for a solid five minutes with the most bitter stares. I was about to go to my room when she spoke.

"So," she started, "I've been looking at your Instagram. Not many posts about your boyfriend, but a million posts about this girl. What's up with that?"

I turned around angrily. She had no right to ask me anything about who I was dating.

"I don't have a boyfriend. And that girl is my girlfriend, Casey." I said bluntly.

"What do you mean 'girlfriend' ?"

"Exactly that. We've been dating for a long time."

I was about to turn and leave again but she just kept talking. If I could make her disappear, I would.

"When were you going to tell me that you're gay?" She asked, angrily.

"Its not your business. Besides, you're never here to listen." I retorted bitterly.

"Pack your shit. I don't want to see you for a while."

"What?"

"You heard me. I dont need a gay, liar in my house. You have 20 minutes to pack and get out."

And with that, she went into the kitchen and left me standing there looking like an idiot.

Casey's pov:

I was scrolling through Instagram looking at pictures from the trip. Including a picture someone took of Jayson falling into the lake which I immediately screenshotted for bullying purposes.

Just when I was about to call her, Izzie walked through the door. But she wasn't happy. That plus the bag she was holding led me to assume the worst. I walked over to her and she immediately pulled me into a tight hug.

I ran my hand down her head and kissed the top of it as she released quiet sobs into my chest. Seeing Izzie like this broke my heart. What kind of woman does this and still calls herself a mother?

I cupped her face with my hands so I could gently lift her head. Her beautiful eyes were so full of sadness. I wiped some tears with my thumbs and looked at her as she looked down.

"What happened?" I asked, my voice full of concern.

Izzie sniffled and looked up at me, "Shes such a horrible person. She threw me out because I'm in love with a girl."

"I'm so sorry."

She pulled me into another hug and I held her as close as I possibly could. I would do anything just to see her smile in this moment but there wasn't much I could do anyway. Then, I got an idea. Her birthday was this Sunday so I was going to make it the best birthday ever.
