-Wait! Deena, I...,started Sam but she didn't know how to continue.

-What's up blondie?, frowned the brunette keeping the door open.

-I'm sorry for the way I reacted these last days., apologized the other girl.

-It's okay. Just know that this is your last chance., replied Deena.

-What do you mean?, frowned Sam.

-Mess with me again, and I won't be nice to you., shrugged the other teenager.

-Yeah, that's fair., nodded the blonde girl.

-Alright. Now get dressed, we drive off in 8 minutes., said Deena as she closed the door and left Sam alone.

That wasn't what Sam wanted to tell her. Sure, she wanted to apologize as well, but she wanted to say something else. She knew what she wanted to say, yet when she opened her mouth, she couldn't bring herself to say it.

Deena walked to Josh's room who was already awake and dressed.

-That's new., chuckled the brunette.

-Shut up., replied the boy throwing a dirty sock at her.

-Ew, gross., said Deena dodging the sock.

-I saw that you've got a friend over. She's cute., smirked Josh.

-Don't even. She's just a friend who needed my help last night., replied the brunette.

-Your help, hm?, smirked the boy once again.

-Dude, you're like 3 years younger than me, you should not be saying those things., groaned Deena walking away and closing his door.

Deena went to the living room and saw some empty beer cans. She sighed. Her dad must have gotten home late and decided to stay up late and drink another beer even after spending the majority of his afternoon drinking. She sighed and tidied the living room and put the cans away. She then heard a door close and Sam appeared in the hallway, looking around.

-Hi., said the blonde girl shyly.

-Hey. You ready to go?, asked Deena.

-Yeah. Can we just stop at my house to get my backpack?, wondered Sam.

-Yeah, obviously. But I'll park far away, don't want your mom to see you with a dyke., said the brunette.

-Don't say that. You're my friend. I mean, if you want to be my friend. You don't have to. I would understand that you don't want to be my friend after these past days and-, rambled the blonde girl.

-Calm down blondie. I'd gladly be your friend., chuckled Deena grabbing her backpack.

Josh showed up and looked at the two.

-Hi, I'm Josh. Deena's brother., said the younger boy.

-I'm Sam. Her friend., smiled the blonde girl.

-And I'm the sister and friend. Now let's move you morons., replied Deena.

The two chuckled and followed her to the car. As planned, they stopped at Sam's house.

-My parents aren't home, so you wanna come with me?, asked the blonde girl looking at Deena.

-Nah, we need to hurry for school., replied Deena.

-Oh, yeah, right. Okay, I'll be back in a few., smiled Sam getting out of the car and walking into her house.

Josh poked Deena's arm.
