-Yo Sam!, said a boy.

Sam turned around and saw her ex boyfriend walking up to her. He was smiling and waving, leaving his group of friends to come to her. She sighed and turned back around, not wanting to be any near him or even hearing his voice. Last night was the last straw. She didn't even want to think about what would have happened if Deena hadn't interrupted them. Without Deena saving Sam from that asshole that she used to date. How could she have dated someone like him? Well, he used to be nice. Especially when they first started dating. He was kind and polite. He was even romantic and gentle. But then summer past and he started being a dick as he hanged out more with his friends. He hanged out with them so much that he turned into the asshole as she knows him now.

-Fuck off., replied the blonde girl looking at her new friends and wanting to simply not see his face ever again.

-Woah there., chuckled the boy and grabbed her wrist, pulling her back a little.

-What do you want?, asked Sam, looking at him with a blank expression.

-I just wanted to ask you if you want to finish what we were about to start yesterday?, smirked the boy.

-No, thanks. I'm good. And by the way, touch me again, and I'll sue you for attempt of sexual assault. Don't forget that my mother can put your ass in jail., threatened Sam pulling her hand away and seeing that Deena was more than ready to fight that guy if she had.

The boy let her go and glared at Deena. Of course he would be mad at her. But he wasn't the only one who was mad. Deena was mad at him. Who was he to think that he could simply hurt Sam like and take advantage of her? Deena was more than ready to punch him right in the face. It's not like he didn't deserve to be punched.

-If you hadn't stopped me, I could have had-, tried the boy as he turned to Deena but Sam stepped in.

-You could have had what? Had sex with me? Even though you know that I never was ready when we were together and that I was drunk yesterday? Get lost. Now., ordered the blonde girl killing him with her eyes.

He scoffed and walked away. Sam simply smiled at Deena and followed her friends inside.

-That dude needs some help., said Simon.

-He sure does., agreed Kate as she stopped at her locker.

-I'll see you guys around., replied Deena as she walked away.

Sam smiled as she watched the brunette walk away. Kate closed her locker and caught Sam staring at her best friend.

-You know that she's gay, right?, chuckled Kate.

-Hm? What?, frowned Sam now looking at the smaller brunette.

-If you like her, you can simply ask her out., elaborated Kate.

-Oh. No. No, I'm not like her. I'm just happy that I met her. That's all. I'm grateful to have her in my life, just like I'm grateful for having you in my life., smiled the blonde girl.

-Yet, you're only staring at her and blushing when she compliments you or even moving your hands nervously whenever she's around., smirked Simon, joining in.

-Why would you notice that? Were you staring at me?, frowned Sam.

-No, he observes people when he's quiet. Which is not often. But let's not ignore the fact that you did not deny his accusations or remarks., chuckled Kate.

-I don't blush. I don't stare at her and I do not move my hands nervously around her., sighed Sam.

The bell rang.

-Saved by the bell., chuckled Kate.

-Literally., added Simon.

-I'll see you guys around., sighed Sam walking away with some books in her arms.

She walked to class and sat down. Did she like Deena? What if she did? Her mom would be so angry about it. She would probably blame her dad. Her dad always said that he'll be happy for Sam when she finds someone she truly loved, and he always added: "whether it's a boy or a girl". She always liked that. He was more openminded than her mother. He would probably totally welcome Deena into their house, unlike her mother. She sometimes wonder why her parents are still together. They had nothing in common. She sighed and opened her history book. She doodled in it, not really paying attention to the class, clearly lost in her head. She told Deena that she liked her when she was drunk. She remembers that. But she doesn't remember Deena's reaction. She only remember touching Deena's face. God, she felt her cheeks heat up and a wave of embarrassment hit her. She had to talk to Deena. Why? No clue. She just felt the urge to talk to her. She had chemistry as next lesson, so she would only have to wait for her first lesson to be over. After the long hour of historical facts and boring torture, she got up and walked to her chemistry class. She walked in, but the brunette wasn't there yet. She sat where she had sat the last time and waited patiently. Well, more like impatiently. She opened a notebook and started doodling yet again, until she felt someone watching over her shoulder. She looked up meeting dark hazel eyes. Deena.

-Hi., smiled Sam.

-Hi. What are you drawing?, asked the brunette.

-Nothing, just doodling because I was bored. But you're here now., replied Sam still smiling.

-Yeah, I am. So you're not bored anymore because I'm here?, wondered Deena, holding a smirk back.

-Yeah. Exactly., smiled the blonde girl.

Deena sat down next to Sam as they waited for their teacher. Sam's eyes followed Deena's movement. She couldn't stop herself from looking, which amused the brunette.

-What?, asked Deena chuckling.

-I want to talk to you., replied Sam but her happy smile turned into a nervous smile.

-Okay, about what?, wondered the brunette.

-Uhm., started Sam, looking around seeing that no one was paying attention to them.

-Sam? What do you wanna talk about?, asked Deena once again.
