You felt a hand on your back whilst you were making dinner for you and Jo, you turned around and saw it was your beautiful wife. "baby you know you shouldn't be cooking" she spoke softly whilst gesturing to your baby bump. You had turned 8 months just a few days ago and it has definitely been a rollercoaster of emotions, who could blame you? your hormones were raised to the max.

Jo has been the most loving and supportive wife during this time but you also felt at times she could be way too overprotective and not let you do anything by yourself, you adored her for it but sometimes it gets way too patronising and annoying.

"I'm 8 months pregnant Jo, I'm not injured" you said back to her in an annoyed tone. You took her hand off your shoulder and walked away, visibly upset.

You knew she was only trying to help you but you had to let her know it was becoming too much, after 10 minutes had passed of you sitting alone in your bedroom cooling off, you decided to go back to the kitchen and sort out this problem.

On the table was dinner, she must've finished making it when you went upstairs, and she was getting the cutlery set on the table, you went up to her and kissed her softly on the cheek, before whispering "Jo i'm so sorry I shouldn't of snapped, it's just one, my hormones are a lot right now and two, this little one keeps kicking me and making me need to pee every ten seconds, I love how protective you are over me and our baby but sometimes I like being independent and doing nice things for you such as cooking dinner" she smiled as you said this before saying "baby there's no need to apologise I agree I am too overprotective at times but I just want you and our baby to be safe, I love you so so much, and you little one" she said before kneeling down and kissing your stomach gently.

You both sat down at the table, enjoying the dinner she cooked for the both of you, you don't know how you deserve a woman like her but you're happy you have her in your life.

one month passed and here you were on the hospital bed holding your son, with your wife right next to you running her fingers through your hair and telling you how proud she was of you. after 1 hour with your son you felt sleep trying to overtake you and before you could ask Jo offered to hold him and sit with him while you sleep for however long you want.

And that's exactly what she did, she was willing to sit in an uncomfortable hospital chair for hours so you could get the sleep you deserved, whenever all your friends would come to meet your baby she would always say "be careful with him" or "don't overwhelm y/n she's still exhausted" and if anyone hurt y/n or y/s/n Jo would protect you, you had grown to love how protective your wife was and how excited you were to share motherhood with her.
