   | DEAR DIARY, today will be the same as always except the fact that I will never get to know the feeling of having my parents apart of my life except for the memory's.

It's been months after the terrible accident of my parents driving into the waters of Wickery Bridge and my sister and I, Elena being with them were the only survivors.

Elena and I are more than sisters, we have been best friends since the beginning and will be till the end. High school is the real problem here, all the homework and annoying teachers with nothing better to do with their lives.

I put my diary on my nightstand and got out of my bed while direction my attention to my clock. The clock read 7:32. Ok I have until about 8:27 to be at school but still have to untangle my messy hair and do about a thousand other things.

Elena walked into my room. "Get up, we're going to be late" She announced to me while I disregarded her request and just fell back onto my precious blanket. "Wake me up when it's time for my to go to collage and be done with this hell hole" She glared at me as I put my hands up in defense.

"Kidding, kidding" I got up out of my bed and went to the bathroom and brushed my hair out so that my curls would come out because that's the only difference between me and Elena.

Elena likes to straighten her hair and I'm not really sure why but I don't really care one way or another if mine is straight or not, but it would be kinda weird if I let my hair be straightened because I hate it when people can't tell us apart.

"Is that coffee I smell? I walked into the kitchen and laughed. My aunt Jenna was walking around the kitchen looking for something while Jeremy, my little bother, and Elena were scrambling around getting coffee.

"Your first day of school and I'm totally unprepared, lunch money? She gets so stressed out sometimes.

"We're ok" But Jeremy walked up and took the money, therefore not surprising anyone. "Anything else? A number 2 pencil? Jenna asked hopefully, obviously trying to make sure this school year goes better then the last one.

"No really we are fine" Elena said. "Um don't you have a big presentation today? I asked. "I'm meeting with my thesis advisor at-" She suddenly paused and looked down at her watch. "Right now actually"

I smiled at Jenna."Then go! We got this" I said. She looked at us and rushed out while flashing a thankful smile in my direction.

"How about that coffee?"

•••

Elena and I grabbed our stuff and headed into one of our best friends Bonnie's car who was one of our closest friends.

"So Grams is telling me I'm psychic" Bonnie said as if it were a joke and I couldn't blame her since it's crazy how many weird stories her Grandmother tells her.

I can't wait for this story.

"That our ancestors were from Salem, which isn't all that, I know, crazy but she's going on and on about it, and I'm like put this women in a home already" She turned to look at us and started to talk back up again. "-But then I started thinking...."

My direction suddenly started to trail of and my attention went to outside the window.I watched all the buildings pass and all the people walking, making me feel small in this huge world. ".....And I still think Florida will break off and turn into these little resort islands" Bonnie said as she looked over at Elena.
