"now she asked me if I do this everyday I said often, ask how many times she rode the wave, not so often"

MADISON'S POV

I PULLED UP to see Stefan getting out of a bright red car that was more beautiful than words could tell. I parked my car right next to Stefan and jumped out grabbing my bag. "You seem in a good mood this morning and awesome car" I told him with a smile.

He came up to me looking surprisingly chipper and returned the smile to me. "I woke up today feeling better than I have in a while " I swung my backpack over my shoulder as I watched him get his backpack and shut his car door.

"That's great, I'm glad your doing better than last night" I said as we both headed up the street to school, not looking forward to the already boring day to come.

I dashed to my seat in history and sat next to Elena who seemed to have arrived early since all her materials were spread out. Alaric then closed the door to the classroom with Stefan right in front of the class and then started the lesson.

"Ok, this week we're going to set aside our regular curriculum for listening local history as we approach founders day apparently the community leaders feel that it's more important then world war three but hey, what do I know?" He said while sitting down on his big desk looking unusually tired.

I suddenly heard the classroom door open and it revealed a anxious Bonnie. "Sorry I'm late" She said while trying to hold all of her stuff in her arms. I smiled at the thought of Bonnie being with us now and the fact that things might be getting better.

"Looks like we will be at full occupancy today, welcome home, Bonnie" Alaric said with a slight smile. Bonnie looked over at us and made her way to the empty seat next to me.

She sat down and almost completely ignored us looking at her and turned her attention back to the teacher.

"Bonnie" I said trying to catch her while she was walking ahead of me. "Hey" Bonnie said then kept on walking.

"Hey, I um tried to grab you after class but you'd already taken off" She turned around and listened to me talk. I walked closer to her and continued to talk.

"How are you? How's your family?" I said worried. Bonnie left school for awhile to spend time with her family after her grandmother passed away the night she helped open the tomb.

"We're dealing, it's been hard" She said in a soft tone, obviously still upset.

"Everyone here really missed you" I told her while holding on to my backpack because it was slipping off my shoulder. "Yeah, I just had so much to do after grandmas funeral, and honestly after you told me that the tomb spelled failed, I just didn't really want to come back"

I can't even begin to explain to Bonnie now sorry I am, it isn't her fault. "I hope you understand why I called I wanted you to know before you came home" I told her softly but she snapped back.

"Yeah, I understand why, I just wish I didn't know" It became silent for a second and all you could hear was the cold breeze that was passing through.

"I know it's been really hard-" I suddenly got cut off by a certain blonde. "Bonnie" Caroline's voice was filled with relief. She hugged Bonnie, almost squeezing the insides out of her.

"Bonnie! Thank God you're home!" Caroline said. Caroline seemed so happy to see her. "I know we talked every day, but I missed you, how are you doing? Bonnie began to nod her head.
