With Fallon
"Is everyone ready to go?"
The sound of Liam's voice made Fallon jump, pulling her out of the trance of fear she created. He stepped forward and looked into her eyes.
"Are you okay?"
"W-What? Yeah, I'm fine. I guess I'm just a little on edge. Not used to being in the woods."
"We're not even in it yet, don't get too worked up, babe." With a peck on the cheek, Liam walked ahead of everyone else. Fallon just stared after him, and once everyone started walking, she followed closely behind.
She looked around at the tall trees that were slowly passing by as the group trudged forward. All of them were excited about being in a new area for a week, so why wasn't she? She couldn't help but feel like something bad was looming ahead, but she didn't know why or how to explain it.
Lost in thought, she didn't realize that she had fallen behind. She was about to pick up the pace when she heard a twig snap behind her. She jumped and squealed before rushing to catch up.
Still looking behind her, she bumped into Steven, who turned around to face her.
"Hey... Are you okay? You look a little spooked."
"I'm perfect! Why does everyone keep asking if I'm okay?"
Fallon walked ahead of Steven and Sam and made her way to Kirby and Liam, who were looking at directions. The sound of her footsteps made them look away from the map and up at the brunette.
"Are you okay?" Her husband asked.
"Yeah, you seem a little jumpy today," Kirby added.
Fallon rolled her eyes in frustration. "Oh for god's sake, I'm fine!"
Another noise sounded from afar, causing Fallon to jump once more and grab onto Liam's hand. As a response, he chuckled and pecked her head, and returned to looking at the map.
The further they walked, the more her uncertainty grew. Eventually, they made it to the isolated campsite that they would be staying at.
Sam stared at the circular dirt clearing. "Seriously? Not even a cabin?"
"C'mon, Sam. It will be fun to build tents and sleep in sleeping bags." Steven tried to reassure his husband.
"Ugh, fine. But don't expect me to build the campfire and go hunting for bugs for food."

A good few hours passed and everyone got their tents set up. Sam and Steven were sharing, and so were Fallon and Liam. Kirby told the group that she was fine with being by herself.
By this time, the sun was starting to set, so they all decided to put together a campfire. All going different directions, they each went to go grab sticks and other things needed to start a fire.
Fallon went past some trees and crouched down to pick up some branches off of the ground. She stood back up, only to drop them all when something moved in the bushes. She slowly walked towards the bush, and screamed when a squirrel hopped out from under the leaves. The girl sighed in relief and picked up her sticks she dropped and made her way back to the tents.
When she got there, everyone else turned their heads to look at her, their eyes filled with concern.
Kirby took a step towards her and took the branches out of her grasp. "What happened over there?"
"What are you talking about?"
"We heard you scream." Steven responded, grabbing Fallon's hand and bringing her to the center of the campsite. He sat her down on one of the three logs for seating, and sat next to her. Liam came up to them and went next his wife, placing his arm around her waist.
"You guys are making a big deal out of nothing. A squirrel startled me, that's all."
Sam dropped his share of twigs in the fire pit. "If you say so. Now help me make this fire. And by help me, I mean do it for me, cuz I'm not doing that." He took a couple steps back and sat down on another log.
Liam and Steven got up and went to start the fire, and Kirby sat next to Fallon who was still sat down on the giant chunk of wood.
"Are you sure you're alright? You've been scared by every little sound since we've been here."
"I'm fine. I just have this feeling that something bad is going to happen, and I can't shake it off. I'm trying to have a good time, I really am." The brunette looked at her friend, relieved to finally tell someone about her omens.
Kirby returned her look and replied, "You have nothing to worry about, Fallon. Everything is fine and everyone is okay, and it will stay that way all week. Nothing will happen, I assure you."
Those words made Fallon worry a little less, and she was able to relax a bit. She knew that she wouldn't be able to fully feel safe, but she also knew that she could learn to let it go and have a good time. She stood up from her log and went over to where her husband was, then offered to help out with the camp set up.

The group had finished setting up the campsite and they were now roasting hotdogs for dinner. It was 9 pm in late August, so naturally, bugs like mosquitos and moths were gathering around and annoying everyone.
Fallon slapped her leg in an attempt to kill the pesky insect. "Ugh! I hate these stupid little bugs! Did we bring bug spray?"
"Here." Liam shuffled around in his backpack and tossed the spray can to his wife. She barely caught it, and when she recollected herself, she sprayed it all over.
"Easy with the spray, Fal. Need to save some for the rest of us." She handed back the bottle and got herself comfortable on the log.
She had already eaten her share of food, so she was hanging out with everyone else by the fire while they continued eating. Suddenly, a pair of cold hands covered her eyes. While being placed, a voice spoke:
"Guess who..."
Fallon screamed and smacked away the hands, then elbowed whoever was behind her. She stood up and turned around, only to come face to face with her brother, Adam.
"Adam!? What the hell are you doing here!? You scared the crap outta me!"
He laughed and said, "A certain redhead told me you guys were going camping, so I asked if I could come."
"And you said yes?" She turned to look at Kirby.
"Of course I said yes! He's my boyfriend... and I like having him around."
Fallon just sighed and sat back down.
"Did you have to come after nine and lurk around in the dark? I almost had a heart attack!"
"Oh, don't be so dramatic. I know you've been a little jumpy today, but I wouldn't purposefully want to harm you in any way."
"Wait, how did you know I w-"
"So do you have any extra hotdogs?"
Adam walked past his sister and took a seat next to his girlfriend, grabbing a stick with a hotdog attached on the way.
Okay then.
Despite her demented brother joining the vacation, Fallon was able to return to her previously relaxed state and enjoy the rest of her night.
Once everyone ate, they decided to call it a night. Climbing into the tent, Fallon and Liam closed up the entrance and laid down. They snuggled up together after getting the sleeping bag situated, and slowly drifted off to sleep.
