The next day, Aurora woke up early and went to the kitchen for a drink. While she was in the kitchen, she got into her father's stash of Turkish Delights and ate one. She didn't need a drink anymore after popping one of those in her mouth. She actually started to smile a bit before she noticed Bucky leaning against the wall and looking at her. She then rolled her eyes and threw one at him before putting the jar back up. Aurora saw the look on Bucky's face and sighed. "Trust me, when I kill you, it will be in a more interesting way. It's a Turkish Delight.. Just try it." Aurora said to him.
Bucky got off the wall and looked at her before putting the sweet on the counter. "I'll pass." He said. He still hated her and wasn't taking anything from her.
"Suit yourself. But you are missing out." Aurora picked it up to eat that one after she finished the one she had.
"I see you found my stash." Zemo said as he walked over to the kitchen and saw her with the Turkish Delight in her hand. He then smiled at his daughter.
"I would have eventually. I know you always have a stash of these somewhere." Aurora answered him before handing the one in her hand to him.
Zemo smiled and popped it into his mouth. Bucky rolled his eyes and went over to sit on the couch. Zemo looked at his daughter and looked her in the eyes to see if she'd still had any of Hydra's programming in her. He pulled a small notebook out of his back pocket and placed it on the table. "When Hydra fell, I took the liberty of finding your book." Zemo said.
Aurora looked at the book then at him. "How did you even get that? I thought it.. I thought I had destroyed it." She questioned him. That book contained information she'd rather keep hidden. She wondered how her father even got ahold of it anyways. Aurora was positive she destroyed it.
"They turned you into him, didn't they?" Zemo could see a hint of fear in her eyes. He felt bad for what happened, but he hardly let it show.
"Not now father.. And not ever.." She shook her head and looked away. She didn't want to bring up her past. It was the part of herself she hated the most.
Zemo nodded and put the book away. "Apologies, Aurora." He said before looking over at Bucky.
Bucky looked over at them before looking away. "What do we do next?" Bucky asked Zemo.
"I think we should pay the broker a visit." Zemo told him before finishing the Turkish delight.
Aurora looked at her father curiously before looking at Bucky. She then shrugged and made herself some cherry blossom tea as Zemo and Bucky talked. She wasn't listening to Bucky, but she was looking over at him and started zoning out. After she finished making her tea, she poured herself a cup and took a sip, but not before blowing on it first. The whole time she was still looking at Bucky like she was listening.
"She's staring at me.. Why is she staring at me?" Bucky questioned after awhile.
"Maybe I am thinking of ways to kill you, maybe I am thinking of anything but you." Aurora told him before drinking more of her tea.
Bucky was going to retaliate but then just sighed. "So where are we going exactly?" Bucky asked Zemo.
"Madripoor." Zemo told him before looking at Aurora.
"Ah yes, the center of violence and clubs. Sounds like fun. Hey dad, can I get the Winter Soldier drunk?" Aurora smiles at her dad.
"Remember that we're going there on a mission." Zemo told Aurora.
"You're seriously no fun." Aurora pouted teasingly before looking over at Bucky. "Another time." She winked at him.
"My name is James Bucky Barnes. Not Winter Soldier. That's not who I am anymore." Bucky told her. "And I can't get drunk.. you know this.." he adds as he shakes his head and leans back in the couch.
"Well, James.. you're more like a weiner soldier anyways." She mocks him, laughing a bit.
"Children, enough please. Let us focus on our task at hand." Zemo said.
"I agree." Sam said as he walks over towards them from the other room.
"We're not taking her with us, are we?" Bucky questioned Zemo.
"Actually we need her." Zemo smirked a bit.
"Seriously? She's a criminal. You're going back to jail." Sam told Aurora as he pointed at her.
"Relax Sam. You forget that I have escaped as well. We'll need her for our talks with the power broker." Zemo said to him. The next few hours consisted of preparation and traveling to Madripoor.
Once they were finally there, Aurora and the others had their role to play. The four of them walked up to the bar. Bucky accidentally bumped Aurora, and she had to keep it together, even though she wanted to push him for that. Aurora wasn't paying attention as Sam and Zemo talked to the bartender. In fact, she didn't even notice the people behind her until she heard the code word from her father for Bucky and her to attack the people that were threatening them. When Aurora picked up a man double her size and slammed him to the ground, she heard the code word to stop. She stopped, but was angry that she fell back so easily. She then looked at Bucky with an angry yet blank expression, which worried him. Zemo then told them to follow him as they went to go speak with the broker. The whole time Aurora was focused on how easily she caved until her father walked up to her.
"In exchange I will give you your choice either the Winter Soldier, or his 2.0. Along with the code words." Zemo told the woman as he messed with Aurora's face to show she was under his control.
Aurora was hurt by this, but she just didn't think about it. She wanted to look over at Bucky, but she had to stay put and stare straight ahead. The thought of owning one of them seemed to please the power broker as she smiled and spoke with Zemo. Once the deal had been made, and she would now have Aurora under her thumb, Sam's phone went off. When he was told to answer it, his cover was blown, and the woman was shot by someone across the street and the rest made a run for it so they wouldn't be next. Once they were away from the building, they tried to play it cool until a bounty was placed on their heads and they started running again. That's when Sharon came to their rescue and quickly got them out of there. Sharon, Sam, and Zemo talked, but Bucky and Aurora were too busy arguing again.
"It's his fault for getting our cover blown! Who goes into a mission with their phone not on silent?!" Aurora questioned Bucky.
"How was he supposed to know he would get a phone call at this hour of the night?!" Bucky argued.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe common sense would tell you that you're in a different time zone!" Aurora argued back.
"Like he's honestly thinking about that." Bucky told Aurora.
"It's common sense!" Aurora kept arguing with Bucky.
"Do they always argue like this?" Sharon asked Zemo and Sam.
"You should have been on the plane.." Sam half joked before looking at Zemo who walked up to them.
"Both of you enough." Zemo said as he nudged Bucky back a bit from Aurora.
Bucky and Aurora just glared at each other before Aurora looked at her father. She wanted to yell at him too, but she didn't dare. She then just walked over to Sam and Sharon.
"At least try to get along." Zemo said to Bucky.
"Yeah.. not gonna happen." Bucky shook his head as he went up to Sam.
The now five of them discussed what happens next before they parted ways with Sharon...for now.
