It was a quiet day at y/n and dreams house. The two weren't talking to each other because they thought the other was ignoring them, so they decided to do the same. The two hadn't talked in a bit. Dream being occupied with YouTube and y/n was helping people film
After a long day of work, Dream decided to head to bed. When he walked into their shared bedroom, y/n was doing something on her pc. She didn't even bother to look at him when he entered the room. Dream went into their bathroom and got ready for bed, while y/n continued to watch boomers stream
Dream walked out of the bathroom and collapsed into bed, being exhausted from a long day of filming. Boomers stream ended about two minutes after and y/n turned off her pc before leaving the room. Dream, was still awake and just groaned in annoyance. He had no idea why y/n was acting like this and he wanted an answer
So he was going to get one
Dream slowly made his way out of bed and down the stairs of their house. When he got to the ground floor, he saw y/n at the kitchen making herself a bowl of noodles
Dream: why are you mad? Y/n: I'm not mad Dream: that's the biggest lie. You've been ignoring me for three days now! Y/n: so have you Dream: I haven't been ignoring you Y/n: never leaving your office and avoiding any sort of contact sure seems like you're ignoring me dream Dream: I am not ignoring you Y/n: if you say so
Dream stood there trying to think of what he could've done wrong. Y/n took her bowl of noodles and sat down at the dining table. Dream walked over and took a seat opposite her. She didn't pay attention and just continued eating her noodles while scrolling through her phone
Dream: just talk to me Y/n: there's nothing to talk about Dream: god! Why are you being so stubborn? Y/n: oh I'm the stubborn one? Dream: yes you are! Y/n: so mature dream Dream: why are you acting like this huh? Just tell me what I did wrong Y/n: *scoff* what did you do wrong? Why don't you tell me what I did wrong. You've been ignoring me, so there must be an explanation for it Dream: oh my god! I am not ignoring you y/n! You're the one ignoring me Y/n: I'm not ignoring you dream. Dream: yes you are! Y/n: well I guess we're both ignoring each other Dream: oh my god
They stayed in a very awkward silence while y/n ate. After she had finished eating, she got up and washed her dishes
Dream: y/n Y/n: dream Dream: please just tell me what's wrong Y/n: nothing's wrong Dream! Dream: no there is something wrong!
Y/n walked by Dream and got her phone off her table and then started walking back toward her room
Dream: yeah walk away. Real mature Y/n: oh my god dream I really don't want to talk to you right now Dream: oh yeah why? Tell me why you don't want to talk to me? Y/n: I just don't ok? Dream: no please go on. Enlighten me on why the great majesty y/n won't talk to me Y/n: you're being a dick that's why! Dream: oh I'm being the dick? At least I'm not the one who's constantly ignoring her boyfriend and when he tries to make shit better, I decide to ignore him even more!
Y/n just stared at dream, her mouth falling apart slightly
Y/n: it's better that we stay ignoring each other. Dream: of course you would say that. You can't run away from all your problems Y/n: well I do, and it works.
Dream walked a little closer to y/n
Dream: what is it? Am I not spending enough time with you? I-I don't do enough? What is it y/n? Just fucking tell me!
Dream threw his hands up in the air in annoyance, but that only resulted into y/n flinching
A lot
So much that she stepped back a few steps. Dream looked at y/n and his entire body started to malfunction. He quickly walked towards y/n and pulled her into a big hug
Y/n didn't respond, but just wrapped her arms around dream
Dream: I'm not gonna hit you y/n, I would never do that Y/n: I know
The two stayed in a comfortable silence for a bit. They absolutely hated fighting with each other.
Y/n: I was ignoring you because I thought you were ignoring me Dream: what? I was never ignoring you Y/n: really? Dream: I couldn't ignore even if I tried to Y/n: wow am I really that awesome? Dream: I wouldn't say awesome Y/n: I hate you
Y/n tried to pull away from dream, but he just tightened his grip around her. She kept struggling to get out and then threw her head back in defeat
Dream: are you done? Y/n: y'know I liked it when we weren't talking to each other, it was nice not to hear your smart ass words Dream: wowww
The two stayed in a comfortable silence, not moving from the position they were in, except y/n went back to hiding her face in dreams chest
Dream: hey Y/n: mm? Dream: you're safe with me, I'm not gonna hit you. I would never think of it Y/n: I know you won't dream, I trust you on that. I'm sorry, it's just an instinct Dream: no don't apologise for that, that's not your fault
They finally moved and ended up going to bed at 3am after staying up and watching a movie. They didn't want to admit it, but they had a very good sleep whenever they were together
