Chariot and Laura meet again

The months went by since Laura and Bernadette had to leave the Cavendish family home, with that the year 1999 was starting. Laura stopped racing for the WBRC, but went to another category which was the World Broom Endurance Championship, which was a championship of long races on the broom, where the goal was the same as the WBRC, the difference was that the races lasted many more hours, The difference was that the races lasted much longer hours, like the well-known 24 hours of Ness that was 24 hours of running and few runners could handle the whole race alone, and few were the ones who put themselves in the category of running alone in such an event, but Laura McLaren was one of those who put herself in this category and so she won one of the most prestigious events of broomstick racing. Laura was after winning the triple crown of broom racing which involved winning the Salem GP, the 24 hours of Ness and the 1000 miles of Salt Lake City which was part of the Super Light Broom Championship which was a uniquely American competition. Laura wanted this to show her daughter Diana how she was a high class racer, besides wanting to call the attention of Harriet and Freya with the incredible talent she has, since both of them would indirectly talk to Laura herself in case she reached this incredible achievement, Laura knew that on her own she would never get the cure, because her knowledge with potions is very limited. That's why she made a point of wanting to get attention.

At the Cavendish family mansion things were starting to become a new normal, this new normal consisted of Maryl and Merrill offending little Diana at Daryl's behest and with the mother of the two children doing nothing, Bernadette also could not do anything but telling them to stop, but it was no use, since they still had a tremendous stubbornness insisting on the provocations. Daryl's brainwashing was working on both girls, but it was evident that they were being bought to act like this, since they had never been like this in all these years, which already opened a huge suspicion around Daryl and she didn't have the authority to act like that either. Meanwhile Bernadette's sister also took the opportunity to go book by book looking for a poison to get rid of her own sister who was already suffering a lot and she wanted to cause even more suffering to the Cavendish family.

In a place far away from there, more specifically Loperèc in France, where Laura and Bernadette's couple visited 9 years ago, a little girl called Chariot Du Nord was in her 15th year of age and about to enter the Luna Nova academy of witches after she received a letter of approval for the academy. The girl since Laura's coming that day ended up waking up something that was dormant in her that was magic and interest in her, all thanks to a little push given by McLaren 9 years ago when she visited the Du Nord.

The horrible thing that had happened was on March 14, 1999 when Joanne and Mark had an accident on a highway, when their car crashed into a truck that was trying to overtake another truck in another lane, there was practically nothing left of the two of them that were crushed by the strong impact and this had already left Laura even more down, after being forced to separate from her wife, she lost another very precious personal treasure that were the attentive parents that were gone in a horrible accident. Two months after the accident at least she had one piece of good news, on May 14, 1999, Holly McLaren was born, Chelsea's daughter with Laura, who the latter did not know was the little girl's mother. Just like the Cavendish girls, the beautiful girl pulled quite a lot from her mother who knocked up having a nice pair of green eyes, but with her mother Laura's freckles that was another common thing, since all the McLaren girls had freckles, some more prone than the other.

Friday, September 10, 1999, Luna Nova, Wales

It was a normal day like any other for the Luna Nova red team, consisting of three girls who were all from different and similar years at the same time, Madeleine Watson was the oldest and was in her last year, Croix Meridies and Chariot Du Nord were from the same year, only Meridies was from October 1983 while Du Nord was from February 1984. They had practically become best friends, since they were all broomstick racing fans, they loved to talk about their favorite racers. Impressively Madeleine, despite being Lucy Watson's sister, had as her favorite runner the same as Chariot and Croix who all three adored Laura McLaren for her incredible talent and perseverance, so much so that they kept saying "If she ran more years she would pass Sarah Campbell".
