I woke up in the dark bedroom. The room smelt like sex. I was wrapped in the covers, covering my bare body. Norman was nowhere to be seen.

"Norman?" I called out.

"Yeah?" Norman called back, from what sounded like the kitchen.

I got up from the bed, rummaging through my dresser. When I was dressed in a white shirt and dark blue jeans, I left the hot, sex-smelling room and entered the kitchen, where Norman was cooking pancakes in dark blue pajama pants. But that was it. His bare back faced me, his muscles stood out. I smiled and tiptoed over to him, who was unaware of my presence. When I was right behind him, I wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Mornin' hon." He greeted me, holding my hands in one of his.

"Morning baby." I murmured, resting my head on his back.

"Sleep well?" He asked, not turning around.

"Yeah. You?"

"Haven't slept that well in forever." He stated. He reached for a plate, and emptied the pancakes onto it. Three chocolate chip pancakes sat there, and he turned around, a smile on his face.

"Why're you so happy?" I asked, accepting the pancakes.

"Cause I called the doctors, told them what went down last night, and they think that if you can handle that, then you sure as hell can handle a little trip." He smiled.

My heart jumped, and I almost dropped my pancakes. Luckily, Norman never really let go of the plate. "Really?" I squeaked. He nodded and I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him close to me. "That's great!!" I squealed.

"Yeah. Hope ya don' mind planes, though." He said. I gulped. "Shit, yer afraid, ain't ya?" He stated in his 'Daryl' accent.

"Kinda. I don't like heights." I whispered. When Norman sighed, I felt guilty instantly. "But I'll make an exception, just as long as I don't sit by the window." I added. Norman nodded and leaned down to kiss me.

"You'd better start packin' then, sunshine." He murmured, turning me on so much.

...

We stood in front of a little jet, with a red carpet leading to the stairs. I gulped, the bags in my hands feeling very heavy. A man in a suit came up to me, smiled, and took my bags out of my hands. Norman gently grabbed my elbow and lead me to the plane. I hesitantly stepped up the steps.

The plane was nice. Cream colored walls and seats. A little blond man stood in the middle of the room, his hands clasped over each other. He smiled at me friendlily. Maybe a little too friendly. I smiled back at him and let Norman go first. He sat against the window, blocking the view. I sat next to him, letting him wrap his arm around me shoulder. I smiled and him and rested my head against his arm, breathing the warm scent of his cologne.

Thoughts kept rushing through my head. "You're one of the best things that's ever happened to me." I replayed the words in my head.

"Hey Norman, when you said that I was 'one of the best things that happened to you', what was the best?" I asked, facing him.

After a couple moments, he looked down at me. "The birth of my son, Mingus." He stated. "Don't worry, you're a close second." He added.

"Wait, you have a kid?" I exclaimed. This man keeps surprising me!

"Yeah. I thought you knew?" He said, cocking his head at me.

"No I didn't." I stated.

"Oh. You're not...mad, are you?" He asked.

"No! Why would I be mad?" I exclaimed.

"I dunno. I've met girls who hate men with kids." He sighed.

"Why would they do that? I mean, I'm surprised, but not mad. How old is he?" I questioned.

"Fifteen."

"That old?" I said, surprised. He nodded. The plane was awkwardly silent for a moment. "When am I gonna meet him?" I asked.

Norman shrugged his shoulders. "I dunno. I'd have to ask his mom."

"Oh." Was all I said. The plane was silent, until the little blond guy came walking down the aisle.

"Hello Mr. Reedus. Can I get you or your lady anything to drink?" He asked. Norman shook his head, then glanced down at me.

"If you don't mind, I'd like a diet coke." I ordered. The man nodded and walked to the back of the plane. I leaned against Norman, breathing in his cologne.

"We're about to take off. Close your eyes." Norman murmured. I nodded and squeezed my eyes shut, praying that it would go smoothly.

...

We landed in Georgia. Finally. Norman and I stepped into our hotel room. The cream colored carpet muffled my steps. There was a little kitchen to the right, with hard black tile. The counters were lined with dark brown wood, with a small island. There was a little welcoming basket on it, full of chocolate and flowers. Further into the room was a king sized bed with clean, white sheets. Beyond that was a huge sliding glass door that led onto a balcony. I dropped my bags on the bed and opened the door, letting the salty sea air drift in. I took a deep breath, enjoying the salty smell.

I felt Norman come up from behind, wrapping his muscular arms around my waist. He leaned his head down, nuzzling my neck.

"We're here." He murmured.
