Miraculous: The Next Generation

Emma's POV
A snorkel? How will we stop a villain with a snorkel? 

"Misterbug are you thinking of going for swimming because it's not the right time. That Shriek is looking for us everywhere and she might find us any second now. Oh god-" He interrupted me.

"Can you be just quiet for a second, I'm trying to think. Why do girls speak so much?" I pouted angrily. I turned around to keep an eye on our target but Shriek wasn't there. Where did she go?

Then we heard a loud announcement. It was coming from the Effiel Tower. Misterbug and I glanced at each other and nodded. We leaped to the front of the Effiel Tower, Shriek was standing on the top of the Effiel Tower and there was a huge crowd in front of it. They were looking at a big crowd of butterflies, or rather akumas, in the shape of a mask and a mouth. 

"People of Paris, I am Lady Moth the new Hawk Moth . I want both of those pesky little kids who call themselves Misterbug and Ladynoire to give me there miraculous or see what I do with this city! Hahahaha."

 Everyone around us started panicking. A police officer ,officer Denver came to us. "Kids stop pretending to be the new super heroes. We need the real Ladybug and Cat Noir to deal with this situation, not some kids." 

I was really fed up now. Why is everyone underestimating us?! I looked at Misterbug but his mood was just opposite to mine. He was looking down in disbelief. 

"What if he is right? What if we are just not the right people for this?" He said. 

"Shut it!" I said. "He is wrong, why do you think we are not the right people, because we have not been able to defeat that super villain yet? The former Ladybug and Cat Noir also started from scratch and we had a better start from them . So stop listening to all the people who oppose you, listen to your heart. Understood!" I couldn't belief that I said that. He looked up to me with a smile on his face. 

"You should start a podcast." He said and chuckled. I felt my cheeks turn red and a small smile curl up my face. Wait what? Why am I blushing I don't like him or something ! Or maybe I do.

He placed him hand on my shoulder. "So let's go stop her. I have a plan ." He said. He told me the the plan . "On to it." I said.

I was told to distract her and bring her to the river. "Woohoo! Hey Shriek! You want my miraculous don't you? Come and get." I said waving my hand. She came down. 

"Oh! So someone wants to play the cat and mouse game? Let's play!" She said and blasted high pitched screams at me. "You know I learned that sound has a very high speed but maybe you have an exception, coz you can't even match my speed."

"Wanna try me? Let's see then!" She attacked me again but this it hit me on the back and I fell into the water. It hurts a little.  I used my stick to breath underwater. I knew that our plan was on track. A second later I found Shriek and Misterbug in the water.

I helped Misterbug with his yo-yo. We placed the snorkel on Shriek mouth. Misterbug held back her hand and then was my turn,  "Catacylsm." I said with a stick in my mouth(coz we were underwater) and touched her necklace. The broken locket floated on the surface of the water. We swam up with that girl . An akuma came out of the locket.

"Capture that akuma." I said pointing towards the purple butterfly. He spun his yo-yo . "Time to de-evilize. Gotcha!" He said as he captured the akuma. "Bye bye little butterfly." 

"Miraculous Misterbug!" He threw the snorkel up and everything got repaired. We helped the girl get out of water. "What happened?" She asked. "Well nothing cat-astrophic happened and yeah never let anyone make comments on you because you are brilliant. Always remember this, okay?" I said. She nodded. "Thank you so much." She added and hugged me. She left after a while.

"Well you should really start a podcast you know, I'm serious." Misterbug said. 

"Well guess we are a meow-culous duo, aren't we?" I said with a smile.

His earrings beeped. "Maybe you should get going." I advised. 

"Yeah but first I got something to do." He jumped at the top of the Effiel Tower and made an announcement. 

"Parisians, yeah here. We may not be your Ladybug and Cat Noir but like them we promise to keep this city safe from every akumatization!" 

Everyone cheered. I looked at him . "Awesome isn't he? Guess what, I love that guy." I said to myself.

He came down. "Maybe I really underestimated you. Sorry for what I said earlier." He apologized.

"No it's my fault. I misunderstood you. Sorry." Then I saw Officer Denver behind us. "Maybe I also owe both of an apology for not finding you both capable of this job." We told him that there was no for an apology and suddenly we heard something, "beep".

It was Misterbug's earrings. "I should go now or you'll know my secret identity." He said. 

"See you soon m'lord." I bowed and he soon disappeared from my sight.
