Miraculous: The Next Generation

Another senior, but she was known to me. Adeline Darwin, she is a pretty popular icon in school being the captain of the cheerleading team. I met her in an event two years ago, her parents are famous models.

"Rei, what are you doing here? I was-" She paused after noticing me, I gave her an awkward wave and she smiled back. "Hi.... Emma right?" I nodded. 

"Oh, you are tutoring her. I completely forgot!" Wow, is today 'Forget-your-friend-has-extra-tuitions-day'? 

"Yeah, well it's almost over. Just a few more questions, will probably end in 15 to 20 minutes-"

"No it's alright." I interrupted. Both of them looked at me. "You can assign me the questions instead, they're not very hard now that I have learned the concept." Rei thought for a moment, he opened his mouth to say something when Adeline jumped in, "I think you should listen to her, Emma is a smart girl, she can figure out a few questions." There was something in her tone, bad vibes.

"Well...alright then, if you get stuck on any question" he paused and clicked his pen. He wrote something on my notebook, "here is my number, always available for texts, if you wanna call, just text before it." 

"Yeah, thanks." I answered.

"No worries, see ya' tomorrow." He left with his bag hung on one shoulder and Adeline hung on the other. I started to back my stuff, thanks to Rei I was able to complete one lesson in just one hour. As I was picking up my last of notebooks, my vision fell onto the phone number. I should save it right now- I can what if I have doubts you know.

NARRATOR'S P.O.V :

"So, do you want to go to my cousin's hotel first? I'll show you all type of shoes I have and the brand new collection of dresses my aunt just got for me and-" Adeline's continuous blabbering was making him bored, now he literally regretted his decision to leave the tutoring session. Wish I could go back right now. Rei thought.

"And this!" Adeline's sharp sequel brought him back to real life. "This is the Hotel! Come let me show you everything-"

"Adeline, it's great but maybe I should head home right now, I'm kind of tired from the classes and the tutoring session." Lie, I hate lying but I have no other choice.

"Oh I get it, that Emma brat must've sucked all your energy." She said, rolling her eyes, then grabbed his right arm. "Let's go, we can have a spa treatment, that will energize you."

"No, it's alright." He pulled his hand back. "I should really be getting back, my oka- mother will get worried. See ya'." He turned back and paced towards the subway.

"Oh, well, alright. See you tomorrow!" She waved back with a huge smile which turned into a frown. Emma Dupain-Cheng Agreste, auntie was right, these Dupain-Cheng always come in the way. But no worries, Reiji is mine, and if she does anything that separates me from him, I'll make sure she burns in hellfire.

I was walking back home when I heard a scream, a high-pitched scream hitting against my right ear so hard I closed for eyes for a minute. I turned my head to the commotion and saw a car flying towards me. My reflex was to cover my face with my hands and bend to my knees but all of a sudden my feet couldn't feel the ground. I uncovered my face and looked. 

Misterbug, he was carrying me, his hand around my waist, his hair, shiny, covering a bit of his mask and his face, the seriousness his glowing eyes showed. We landed to the ground. He put me down.

"T-thanks a lot My l- Misterbug. You saved my life." My eyes were wandering around his face.

"Oh, no problem." He replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "You should probably get somewhere safe."

"Yes, yes of course." I nodded. Okay, let's go bring Ladynoire!

I stepped into an alleyway. "Plagg, it's time." I called him out. He flew out of the side-bag and appeared right in front of me. 

"Plagg, Claws Out!" I transformed after a green glow surrounded me. Before stepping out, I checked my stick-phone. Six messages from Misterbug, and an incoming call. 

"Hello  My Lord."

"Where were you?!"

"Sorry, I was kinda busy with a st-personal life thingy."

"Come to the river bank right now. We have a big problem."

"On it!" He seems tensed, wonder who is stressing my bug. I leaped into the air and using my stick, jumped onto the roof of a building. I leaped again towards the river bank landing just behind my lord.

I tapped his shoulder, "Greetings my-" He turned around, eyes all dark and hollow, skin had turned pale and he now had sharp canines. I kicked him and took a step back. 

"Ladynoire, over here!" It was a faint sound, like it was coming through a glass wall. I looked around. The river! It's weird but someone is calling me from the river.

I looked into it and Misterbug's face was visible instead of my reflection. "Woah, what is happening?"

"Not much time to explain. The villain is Parallax, he has been throwing everyone into the glass realm and those creatures are his servants. One simple thing: Don't look at your reflection in his eyes."

"Ok, so I have to avoid his eyes."

"Yeah.... behind you!" I jumped hearing this. Another of those glass realm zombies was attacking me. I pushed him behind with my stick but was soon surrounded by them. I extended my stick and pushed them all away. Then used the rest of my strength to escape. I needed to find the source of this. 

I looked up and saw a figure flying above, it had bat wings and was moving to the building in front of me. I bent down and hid behind the wall, watching it secretly.

Misterbug did not define the appearance but it was sure that he was Parallax. He raised a silver cane and there was dark mark dividing the sky. He started chanting something in...I don't know what language. Another figure, this time a human one, came out of it. He was calling someone, or summoning cause the body did not seem conscious. 

I took out my stick and zoomed to look at the figure, no no no no, this isn't good. My bug is in danger. Those zombies seemed to climb up the building to their master. I can't let this continue. I stood up, cracked my fingers and neck because now, this was showtime. So buckle up, here I go.
