Narrator's POV:
She titled her head a little and spoke in a hushed tone "Hello kitty. I see you've brought friends. Don't worry, I won't mind you guys till you don't get in my way." Her voice ran chills down my spine, mom can be so simple yet so scary.
Cat Noir moved a step forward. "Marinette, stop this. This is not you, it's Hawkmoth that's making you do this, just surrender-"
"NO! How do you know it's not me?! You know nothing, you weren't there when everyone believed her! Not even my friends trusted me, Alya, Nino.... and Adrien, even he didn't try to know the truth. No one listened to me, all they did was act as her puppets!" A tear ran down her face.
I wish I knew who it was, the one who made my mother cry, and make her pay. I looked over at Cat Noir, who looked like he was hurt. Of course he was hurt, she just said something which made could make anyone regret their actions.
"Marinette I-"
"Now, either don't come in my way or be dashed to dust forever." She flew past us swiftly. I went over to Cat Noir. "She'll be the same again, then you can apologize, I promise." I whispered, and he looked at my face. I gave him a reassuring smile then turned to Misterbug. "Where's Ladybug?"
"Well, you see, Ladybug is-"
"Defeated. Misfortune defeated her and turned her to dust, I was lucky to have retrieved the miraculous ."
"Tikki!" We said in unison.
"What? She defeated Ladybug?" Cat Noir asked in astonishment, his eyes wide open.
Tikki nodded, with a frown. "MissFortune is going through the city, turning everyone to dust or stone statues." Tikki started explaining us about the attack and we told them that Bunnix had sent us to fix this. "Tikki, you need to hide right now." Cat Noir said and Tikki nodded. She flew away with the earrings. "Let's find her and bring back Marinette."
We jumped from buildings to rooftops to billboards, passing by statues of people in different poses and positions. Who is this person? Who is the reason of this havoc? "Hey da- Cat Noir, why is she doing this?"
"Something happened today and I think she is after Lila, we have to get to her before- "
"Trying to find me?" She appeared before us from as we stopped at the edge of the building.
"Lila is dealt with, now my promise of the miraculous to Hawkmoth remains." She said . I looked around and found a lever. I gotta do something to save us. With this thought I looked at the lever and the floor around us. Got it! I pulled the lever and a roof covered us, leaving her outside.
"Good work kitty." Misterbug said and Cat Noir gave me a thumps up and him an eye roll. "Let's go inside and plan something." Misterbug said and we entered the building.
"We need a plan." Misterbug said. "A bit of luck." Car Noir suggested and Misterbug nodded.
"Lucky-"
"Not so fast." She broke the glass window a few feet away from us and fired a beam, turning Misterbug to a stone sculpture.
"NO!" I was moving ahead towards the statue but Cat Noir pulled me back, he shielded us with a table while mom kept attacking. "You cannot hide from MissFortune." She said. I can't believe it, wh-what just happened?
"Hey." Cat Noir whispered and pointed at the cabins, and continued. "We can escape from there." I nodded though I wanted to say a lot of things, like what about Misterbug? Can we take the statue too? I-I've never done a mission without him before, what if I'm not able to save him? What if I get stuck here forever. I-I just-
"Hey Ladynoire." Cat Noir's voice brought me back. I looked at him, we were no longer in the building but my- his room. "What ar-are we doing here?" I asked.
"Hiding, and recharging. I used my power to get us out of there." He explained and de-transformed. I sat down on the chair. Can't believe I had a panic attack in the middle of a fight.
"Are you ok?" He asked. "Me? Pfft, I'm alright." I said and waved my hand.
Plagg was eating the piece of cheese and Adrien walked up to me. "Are you really fine?"
"I- Of course I-, no." I shook my head. "No, I'm not fine. I have so many things on my mind right now and it feels like all this is my fault cause I was sent here to fix things and as a superhero it's my duty to but I failed at it. I failed at one work I was given, I don't-" He hugged me. "It's ok, nothing is your fault. We'll find a solution together." He whispered to me and I felt a tear rolling down my cheek. This feels the same, the same as the time when dad hugged me before the first day of school, or before my first class presentation. I hugged him back tighter. "Thank you." I whispered.
He pulled away with a reassuring smile, "better?"
"A lot better." I answered.
"Good, now let's figure out a plan."
"Yeah." I nodded, he pulled another chair and sat beside me. "We both have lost the bugs already and MissFortune is looking for us. If there was only a way for us to get the bug miraculous."
"Here." I looked at the table, from where the feeble sound 'here' had come. Yes! Problem solved!
