Before the Breath of Shadow, Kaigaku used the Breath of Darkness with the sword above. I'm not gonna spoil anything this time. All I'm going to say is the breath forms. Yes, I made all these forms myself.
The Breath of Darkness focuses on offense and its used to defeat the enemy as soon as possible. Kaigaku uses it when he needs to cut down, ehm, "certain things" when he was being trained. The Breath Style itself is deprived from Moon breathing.
First form: Shadow Fall - This form casts the blade in a sheath of darkness, enhancing attack power and range by a vast majority. (Can be used in anyway)
Second form: Dark Whirlwind - The person spins their blade around in a circular like movement, creating a vortex which sucks in the opponent and delivers powerful slashes all over the body.
Third form: Black Lighting - An attack with which the user uses their full speed to run a jagged like pattern that confuses the opponent in order to create an opening for them to directly stab or slice their opponent's vital organs to kill them, with the force and power being further enhanced by the momentum of their speed.
Four form: Hell Gates - The user teleports behind the enemy to perform a deadly downward slash.
Fifth form: Droplet of Night - The user performs a fast and accurate stab, capable of reducing the impact of a moving or curving target.
Sixth form: Soaring Crescent Moon Blade - The swordsman concentrates the sword with darkness, swings it, and releases the energy as a flying slash that looks like a moon crescent, as well as a shockwave following immediately after. And if the opponent dodges or isn't injured by the attack, they will be injured or maybe killed by the aftermath(Shockwave).
The Breath of Shadow tend to be fast but weak, but thanks to training it can be used in offense and defense. His combos are versatile and always changing. His aerial attacks are some of the most damaging air attacks he can land one you.
If you have seen RWBY, then you know how Blake fights. It like that expect with more force and power behind it.
