It had been a fortnight since Lord Glover had been arrested by Lord Valyrrn; when he was let go, he took his army back to Deepwood Motte. Lord Valyrrn had scared him enough, that when he came to Jon and Daenerys, he was shaking in fear. Before his departure, he talked about what Lord Valyrrn had done to him during his imprisonment. The direwolf sat by him for three hours everyday, growling and snarling, biting at his arms and legs. One of Lord Valyrrn's household men had scarred him mentally, on the orders of his lord. When Valyrrn was called upon by the council of Jon and Daenerys, he said no such thing of what Lord Glover had said about his torture. Perhaps a few bites, but nothing more. Nothing of what was being said by Lord Glover.

One day, Jon had become so fed up by Lord Valyrrn and his antics, that he called a council of the great lords of the North. The great lords of the North had grown to love, but still hated Daenerys. As the lords came into the Great Hall, finding their seats and their talking died down, Jon stood up to speak. "My lords," Daenerys looked over to Lady Alyse Karstark, "and my lady. I have called this council of the northern lords and the lords of the Vale; to speak about Lord Valyrrn." The room erupted in commotion, until Jon raised his hand. Daenerys looked to her lover, watching him before her eyes turned back to the other lords. Her council: Ser Jorah Mormont, Missandi, Varys, and Tyrion Lannister sat to the side closest to her. Lady Stark's council sat closest to her: Lord Royce, Breinne of Tarth, Podrick Payne, and Lyanna Mormont.

"He's not no northerner, torturing the life of an ally of yours, he should be hanged!" One of the lords called out from the crowd, many other nodded their head in agreement. "He will not be hanged. Forget you, the Boltons have been torturing our own kind for hundreds of years."

"Yes, but the Bolton's took your home and murdered your brother. Now House Bolton lies beneath the ground; why can't Lord Valyrrn and his house lie beneath the ground? We have many thousands of men, men that slaughter his army." Lord Hornwood yelled from the back of the room, most other nodded in agreement.

"Do you forget that the Valyrrn men make up half of the northern army? Plus they provide us more food than the other houses; our stores thank him for the grain, fruits, and vegetables that he provides." All heads turned to Lady Sansa Stark as she spoke, defending Lord Valyrrn. "Do you forget that his men are invincible? Immortal men and dead men. His commanders are cunning; I've seen his men in formation, marching through their camp as if the army was marching through the streets of Kings Landing." Daenerys turned her head to Sansa, looking past Jon to the red-haired young woman.

She was defending a man that she had learned to trust; Daenerys was starting to trust Lord Valyrrn as well. That lord was the only person that brought Daenerys and Sansa together; with the two women combined, they had learned not to trust anyone for too long. And yet, here they were, trusting a man that could be a fraud with better formations than most other armies. Then an unexpected voice came from the back, the voice of Jamie Lannister as his head came out from the crowd of men. "I have seen the Stark army when Robb Stark commanded it; I have seen the Tyrell army when we marched to Highgarden; I have seen the Dothraki fight at Blackwater Rush; the Targaryen army during Robert's Rebellion; I have seen the Lannister army fight, I grew up with that army. With all the armies that I have seen, Lord Valyrrn's army is sufficient and their formations are witty. They outrank the Lannister army; I have also seen their drills in the morning, they are orderly and warriors. They drill with more than just spears, swords, shields, bows and arrows, and daggers; they drill with maces, battles axes, throwing daggers, and so much more. They mean business, and I would want them by my side when the battle comes."

A shared look between Tyrion and Jamie was shared, Daenerys had noticed it before she thanked the once commander of the Lannister army. "Thank you, Lord Jamie for your input. However, as Warden of the North and the heir of House Targaryen, I have a idea of how we can see if he is trustworthy." Daenerys looked to Jon then to Sansa. "He will step in front of Drogon, if the dragon doesn't like the man then we will know. However, I doubt that Drogon will like him." It was silent as they all sat there and listened to Jon; Daenerys felt her heart sink.
